1 Corinthians 11:1 - "Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ."
Who do we imitate? Almost everyone can think of someone who represents the person they would like to be. In the world, people look to famous athletes, singers, movie stars and such. Among believers, it may be a pastor or a mature friend. We should be looking to imitate Christ. The people that are our role models should also imitate Christ. When we look for guidance, we should always seek Christ. If we want to know how to bake the perfect cake, who would we seek? A mechanic? An athlete? A Doctor? No, of course not! We would ask a Baker! So, when we are looking for proper Godly direction, why do we ask non-believers? Ask someone who knows Christ intimately!!! Ask someone who clearly imitates Christ.
