Psalm 100:3 "Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture."

I was reading this scripture in my devotions and my thoughts started running in multiple directions. I have been sinking into a deep depression. This was the reminder that I needed. The Lord loves me and He made me. He doesn't want me to hurt and He knows what is best. I can't possibly know the horrors that He has kept from me. This world is so ugly and yet His beauty is still present. Look at the sky, the sun, the flowers and animals. Even in the darkness, His light still shines. If you're not looking, you miss it completely. Find joy in the simple things and you will see Him and his love. I love to play. It's really fun, but grown-ups forget how every day. You lose your youthfulness when you forget how to play. I hate being uptight. Imagine that God is a child sitting in the sand with a shovel and a bucket. He makes the most beautiful sand castle and is so proud of it. Then a few big kids come along and try to kick the castle down. The child does whatever is necessary to save it. Well, that's God. The "big kids" may get a few good shots, but they won't win the war. The "child" will make the repairs and the castle will be better than ever. So, keep moving!
