I'll be your number one with a bullet
A lonely God-complex cock it and pull it
-----------------------------------------------------------They got another call that morning. Eren was in no shape to get up, still guilty over his actions from the previous night. The skin under his turquoise eyes was still red-from where Eren had been both rubbing his eyes and crying.
So, that only left Levi. Except Eren wouldn't let go of Levi's torso long enough to let the latter escape. He eventually escaped, after convincing Eren everything was alright and that this fight meant nothing.
It really did mean nothing to Levi.
"Hello?" Levi answered the phone, his voice groggy from just waking up. He turned his attention to the clock on the lounge room wall, which read 6:35 a.m. It was much too early to be awake.
"It's Erwin Smith. We have reports of another murder which is involved to Sasha Blouse-Springer." Erwin responded, his voice sounded like he had been awake for a while before.
"How so?" Levi inquired, walking around the bedroom. The phone was against his ear and he watched Eren sleep peacefully against the fluffy pillows they owned.
"Her husband, Connie Springer, was found dead when officers came in to check on him. It was apparently a suicide; heartbreak." This made Levi think. Would this happen if I died? Would Eren kill himself? Or would it be the other way around? Levi was shaken from his thoughts when Erwin started talking again.
"So our main suspect is off the table. Though maybe he killed himself out of guilt of killing her? Oh well, I just wanted to inform you of this. I expect to see you and Eren in today, but I'll let you come in late. No later than 12, because of how late you guys stayed at the investigation last night. And the fact we had called you both in for the case yesterday, which was your off day." Levi muttered an 'okay' and ended the call. A headache was forming and it was really bothering Levi. He went into their bathroom and took some ibuprofen, hoping it would help his ever growing headache.
He then left the bathroom and saw Eren. The boy still lay there, in a deep and peaceful slumber. Levi walked over to the couch and gave the sleeping male a quick kiss before leaving the lounge. He walked across the room and into their office. Getting back to what he was doing the night before, before their fight.
When 10:30 rolled around, Levi stepped out from their office. Eren was just waking up from his much needed sleep.
"Morning, Levi." Eren mumbled, still tired and groggy from just having woken up. Levi nodded his head in acknowledgement towards Eren and went into the kitchen, pouring water in a kettle to create his morning tea.
"Your quiet." Eren said, rubbing his eyes from just having woken up.
"And your talkative." Levi retorted, taking the hot water from the kettle and pouring it into his cup.
"I'm sorry." Eren spoke, his head looking down towards the table. "I didn't mean to yell at you like that. I'm just scared that what we have might crumble like ashes. It terrifies me." He started to play with his thumbs-twiddling them around-a sign of nervousness. Levi sighed, leaving the cup of hot water on the counter with a tea bad in it, and walked towards his boyfriend.
"Look at me Eren, it's fine. You had every right to be mad at me, I've been keeping secrets. I promise I will tell you what I was doing last night soon, but we need to get to work. Erwin might kill us if we're even a minute late."
The two boys then proceeded to change into their work clothes, throwing their parkas on, and headed out the door. They hopped into the car and drove off towards the Rose Police Station. Inside the Rose Police Station was also the headquarters for the detectives of the firm. The head of it all was Erwin Smith, the macho man. He was in charge of all the firms, even the poor parking cops. Erwin is a well reserved man, not bothering many others to do his jobs like most bosses would. He, along with being reserved, was quiet and fairly stoic. The only times you would ever see him "relaxed" would be at corporate events, and even then he was always uneasy.
"I see you made it on time, Jaeger, Ackerman." Erwin spoke, startling the two men. They turned around to see Erwin Smith, in all his eyebrow-glory.
"Commander Eyebrows, good to see you. Now where are the crime scene photos?" Levi asked, suddenly un-fazed by the taller man in front of him. Erwin's eyes had bags under them and his hair was a complete and udder mess.
"No offence Erwin, but you look awful." Eren said, hiding his face out of pure nervousness, something he did whenever he said something awkward or when he was really anxious. Erwin sighed and then stood up stiffly.
"I know that, Jaeger. Anyways; boys, follow me." And Erwin directed the "boys" into his office (or pig sty to Levi). Papers flooded the desk and overflowed onto the ugly-carpeted floor.
"As I told you earlier, Levi, Sasha Blouse-Springer's husband, Connie Springer, was found dead today by police. I sent a few of my men in to check on him, make sure he was okay. They found him, or what remained of him, in the bathroom. The hunting rifle they had owned was beside him, one of bullets had been used. And very recent. Neighbours report hearing the gunshot, but didn't think much of it, as the Springer residents were known for hunting deer and such and practising in their basement. After Sasha's disappearance, Connie was known for spending a lot of time hunting. A way to get his mind off the disappearance of his wife of only 2 years." Erwin said, reading off the parchment that held the information to the case.
"Sir, what do you think happened?" Eren said, his face void of emotion. His voice hard, eyes staring straight and steadily at Erwin's Face.
"That Connie Springer and Sasha Blouse-Springer were murdered. And by the same person."
