Happily ever after (woo)
How could I ask for more?
A lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelor
-----------------------------------------------------------"Lay down and rest." Levi ordered, pushing Eren back down on the bed. Levi had been fed up with Eren as of late.
The poor brunette had been staying up into the ungodly hours of the night just researching their case. And on the plus side, his arm wasn't healing quickly at all. He had been putting so much stress on himself, in fact, that it seemed as though the wound was getting worse (if that was possible).
"No, we need to solve the case." Eren retorted, starting to get angry. Eren hated when that happened, because his anger issues would always get the best of him.
"Erwin let us both have the week off because of your arm. Thank god your left handed or I would've had to do everything for you. We only have 2 days left, and all you've been doing is working your ass off. What about Arlert? You haven't gone and visited him! He is your best friend and-"
"I get it! I'm a horrible friend, tell me something new. Stop rubbing it in, Ackerman. Now, please let me get back to work." Eren butted in, growing increasingly annoyed.
"No. For the next two days we are staying out of that office. You have no new leads on the case, so it's basically useless until we get back in." Levi told Eren, who rolled his eyes. Levi stood there, making his point known. Soon, Eren gave in. There was no competing against Levi when he is like that.
"Alright, fine. What is it that you want to do?" Eren asked, still visibly annoyed.
"Just follow me." And so the two boys left their apartment. Heading off to an unknown destination (according to Eren). The entire drive there, Eren was annoying Levi as to where they were going. Of course, Levi never told him. When they got close, the sun was starting to set. They were out in the middle of a field, in the middle of nowhere.
The field was empty, the sky was clear. They were miles and miles away from civilization. In this field, Levi parked their car and started unpacking a blanket from the trunk.
Levi spread out the blanket and gestured for Eren to sit down. So they sat together, watching the sunset. All the beautiful colours mixed together to create a wonderful scene. The blue of the sky was a huge contrast with that of the orange hue of the sunset, but that made it so much better. The pinks, yellows, oranges, and hints of red all shined down on the two boys and their car. They stayed like that, in a comforting silence.
Eren was secretly glad about this trip. He was sad to say it, but he really was making no progress on the case. They had 2 notes and 2 people dead. They had many suspects (all were Mafia/Mob leaders), but it was never enough. Nothing was enough, this case was far from being solved.
But, this little trip helped clear Eren's mind more than anything.
As the moon showed its white glow upon the Earth, Levi figured it was the perfect time. He asked Eren to go grab something from the car, knowing the brunette would get entranced by the moon glow and stars.
As Eren got up to grab Levi's phone (which he stupidly left in the car), Levi got things prepared. Eren closed the car door, phone in hand. As he walked back to where they were sitting, he saw the moon.
The world has so many distinct and unique things to it. But the moon is so much prettier. It has this glow that shines down on the earth. This glow makes everything it touches so majestic. There is nothing more spectacular then the moon, in Eren's eyes (except his boyfriend, that is).
As Eren stood there, barely holding Levi's phone, Levi got down on one knee next to the distracted boy.
"Hey brat." Levi spoke, his voice still as monotone as ever. Eren hummed, slowly turning his head towards Levi. As he looked down at Levi, he saw the older man on one knee. Eren audibly gasped, completely turning to Levi.
"Marry me." Levi spoke, more of an order then a question. Eren nodded vigorously, jumping on Levi. The ravenette held onto Eren as they both fell onto the ground, hugging each other tightly.
"I would have given a long cheesy speech about how much I love you, but I figure I'd save the cheesy lines for you." Levi said, lightly smiling up at Eren. Eren smiled brightly back, leaning down and kissing him softly.
"So is this what you have been locking yourself up to do?" Eren asked, pulling away from Levi's soft lips.
"Yeah, I was just trying to find the best ring and place to do it. Time was of the essence." Levi replied, grabbing the back of Eren's head and slamming their lips together once more. Levi's fingers intertwined with Eren's brown locks. Eren grabbed hold of the sides of Levi's face, using his elbows to keep himself from falling right on Levi. They kept kissing, their lips moving against one another's like their life depended on it.
Levi slowly sat up, bringing Eren up with him. In a quick turn of events, Levi turned his fiance over and laid him flat of the grass. Eren blushed, his breath heavy. They both took a second to breath before getting back to it. Levi kisses his lover before going down to his jawline. Then he moved onto Eren's neck, slowly sucking and nibbling on his neck. Levi bit down slightly, causing Eren to gasp and arch his back.
Eren rolled his head back, exposing more skin for Levi to invade. Levi slowly moved his face down, away from Eren's neck and to his chest. Levi took his hands and put them under Eren's shirt, having them travel all throughout his chest. He then took the hem of Eren's t-shirt and took it off him. Leaving Eren bare chested and panting. But it was so worth it. Levi made his way back up to Eren's lips, his hands roaming around Eren's body. Eren kept a firm hold of Levi's waist.
"Eren." Levi spoke softly, causing the other to look up at him. "I love you. But that doesn't matter in this situation, because I am not having sex with you in an open field." Levi finished, the sexual tension still floating around them.
"Then let's get home and finish what we started."
