*8 years ago*I couldn't stand the fighting. All those two ever did was fight. They yell and argue, never bothering to care that I'm in the room.
Then again, no one ever really cares for me.
"Isabel! Will you please corporate with me?" Farlan yelled, clenching his fists beside his hips. He was angrier than usual.
"Why the hell should I?" Izzy yelled back, annoyed at the older male.
And to think, we used to be the best of friends.
Farlan changed in the middle of Sophomore year. He started acting ruder, glaring and yelling at people. Bullying and pushing anyone who got in his way. Izzy and I never found out why, but we knew it was going to last.
He stayed distant, always going off and smoking. Every saturday he goes out drinking with a group of guys like him. They get drunk off their asses. Farlan then calls Izzy and I to come and get them. All of them.
It's a never ending nightmare. Now, he's gotten worse. Always high off cocaine or heroin, drunk off his ass 24/7. And Isabel and I are always stuck with him. But that was going to change.
"Hey Izzy, can we talk?" I spoke up, gaining the attention of said girl. She nodded quickly and grabbed a hold of my hand, dragging us both out of the room.
"We need to leave." I got straight to the point, not wanting to sugarcoat things. She looked at me, reluctance flooding her eyes. She let go of my hand and stepped back.
"But Farlan needs us, Levi!" She retaliated, her shoulder showing how tense she is. I figured this would be easier.
"What he needs is help! Professional help!" I said, raising my voice slightly. My fists clenched as i slung them together, crossed over my chest.
"We could help him though!" Izzy said, keeping up her fight. If there was one thing that was prominent about Izzy, is that she is as stubborn as a mule. Her hair, as short as it is, was laying against her shoulders. Some bits would fly up as she spoke loudly, her wild side showing. Isabel Magnolia has always been stubborn and of free spirit. But it always comes out to show in the worst of times.
"Why the hell do you want to help him, Izzy?" My voice calmer as I try to regain my composure.
"Because I love him! Dear god, do I love him! I don't care that he is an addict or mean! I can help him, we could help him Help him with me, Big Bro!" Her response shocked me.
"You shouldn't make impulsive actions based on love." I walked away, not knowing I would never see them again. Alive, that is.
