We returned to my mother showing Baldwin and Esme some pictures of the child me.
"I've never seen these before", I heard Baldwin exclaim with the sweetest smile as he intently scanned one picture in his hand.
"That's strange, I left all the photo albums behind for Rebecca", my mother looked up to me for explanation, smiling as she saw us.Dad let me down.
I hid a bit behind him. "I-I locked them away. I couldn't bear looking at them."
Mum opened her arms to me after I've admitted that. "It's alright", she firmly reassured as we hugged.
Dad squeezed our hands, kissed my hair and mum's cheek – which made her smile – then disappeared in thin air.He warped into the kitchen – his aura told me where he was.
Baldwin, who had heard most of my confessions why I was so hesitant about my family, didn't let that ruin the atmosphere. He patted the spot next to him, smiling at me reassuringly.
My mate offered me his shoulder to rest on. I leaned against him with a smile, seeing a few pictures, some moving ones too, over his broad shoulder.
I didn't remember when this picture had been taken, or by who, but I did remember it had been in our garden.
That was one of the last few days I had spent with my parents. My father had taught me how to make things levitate.
