Lucy's P.O.V

I honestly wished to never come back here. The building was new - an office complex - and it was much larger than the mill. Memories I'd rather forget rolled through my head. I shuttered purely at the thought of coming back here. My blood stayed cold as ice.

"Luce, there's nothing to be afraid of. We're right here for you." George assured me. Even though he could be an ass more than half the time, he knew when his friends needed help. And I was thankful for that. I needed it at the moment.

I nodded briskly and took a deep breath. I'm ready for this. There's nothing in here that I can't face. Everything is going to be okay. I'm not alone.

I hid in Lockwood's shadow, hoping against everything that Jacobs wasn't there and it was just people who wouldn't have a clue who I was. I sensed Holly's confused and worried looks, and above everything, I prayed that Chris and Kipps wouldn't notice or ask questions.

Miki was also joining us. With Chris being her trainer, she had to go everywhere with her. She didn't understand why Chris was prioritizing our case over the Sleeper in town square. Chris elected not to tell and simply tell her it was a sudden strong spirit here. And in part, she wasn't wrong. I could feel the energy given off by this place.

I could feel them strongest. They were still here. They never left.

"Madson-san. What are we going to do about this ghost? We don't know anything about it." Miki panicked.

"We'll be fine, Miki. I'm sure it won't take us long to find out. For now, breath and calm yourself. Would a quiz help?" She stated as we entered the doors.

"Hai." She admitted.

"Prioritize a Sleeper and a Possessor in one night."

"Possessor first."

"Good. State the distinctive characteristics of a D-3."

"Only hostile if attacked, communication across all talents,  only found on dangerous battlefields."

"While encountering 2 ghosts, Type Two and Three primarily, what action do you use to gain distance between you and them?"

"A Kiroshi slice?"

"Incorrect." She stated as we arrived to our base. Lockwood got everyone doing something to establish a base. This question got his attention though.

"Then what move do you use. That's a hard trick to pull off." He asked.

"The SepillaD'Argento." She stated.

"I've never heard of that one." George muttered. I nodded in agreement.

"It's not an easy move. And not one an agent should favor." She muttered, taking her sword from it's sheath and holding a position for fighting.

She started with a cross slice, then twirled with her sword pointed out creating a metal shield. Then when she faced her invisible enemy she held one hand behind her back while her rapier hand formed twirls in the air before she held it straight up and bringing it down on her first "opponent", than whipped it up and bringing it down on her next "opponent". This happened fast, mind you. There were probably some steps that I missed. When she sheathed her rapier, she ran her gloved, slender fingers through her hair, pushing it back. It fell in her face during the performance.

"Doesn't look that hard." I said.

"That's what people think. The goal of the SepillaD'Argento is to eliminate one and distance the other. Typically the first strike is aimed at the Type Two, but this leaves you open for the other's attack. It's an attack that had backfired on many agents, but there's no better move." She mentioned. "After all, it's an uncommon situation to be trapped by both of them."
