Lockwood's P.O.V

I woke the next morning, Lucy was laying on my chest. She looked so peaceful. I didn't dare budge. I combed my fingers threw her hair.

It was soft. Just like her pail skin. Her soft touch drove me mad. I loved her so much. Words could not express just how beautiful she was to me, though they could try.

I felt my face heat up a bit. Lucy had said I looked cute when I blushed.

George often said I was obsessed with Lucy. Which, obviously, wasn't true (yeah right. (¬_¬)ノ). I just fancied Lucy. Was it a crime for me to show affection to the beautiful young woman I was lucky enough to call my love? I think not.

Lucy shifted in her sleep and her eyes started to flutter open.

"Morning Love." I hummed softly to her.

She propped herself up to see me, yawned, and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

"Morning." She muttered.

I propped myself up so I was closer to her and traced her jawline with the tips of my fingers gently. Her cheeks gained a pink shade to them and she held my hand.

Her hands were soft, yet in certain spots she bore sores from using her rapier so much. Yet all the same, her skin was soft.

"Lockwood?" She started softly. I hummed a reply. "I'm hungry. Can we get some food?"

I nodded. She smiled and got off of me. Then I got up after her.

"Are you feeling better Love?" I asked.

"Yeah." She told me.

We strolled downstairs to where Holly was cooking pancakes.

"Morning!" She chirped.

"Morning." I returned.

"Morning." Lucy mumbled.

"Where's George?" I asked.

"He's downstairs fiddling with something." Holly answered. "I'll get him." Holly disappeared down into the rapier room.

Lucy and I sat down at the table.

"So..." Lucy started.

"So..." I looked at her.

George and Holly emerged from the rapier room. George sat in his normal spot at the table, and Holly started serving us food.

"So what time do we meet Barens?" George asked.

"10." I noted.

"10?! It's 9:45 right now!!" Holly screeched.

We forgot about breakfast and got changed as quickly as we could. Holly called two cabs and in five minutes we were there.

Lucy's P.O.V

"10:01..." Holly panicked. "Are we too late?" She asked me.

I shook my head.

"Barens hates it when we're late, but then he's late, it's because of a lousy reason. We got here on time." I explained. That seemed to calm her a bit...

After a few more minutes, Barens finally showed up.

Every time I see him, the only difference is that he's getting older. Soon he'll be to old to keep his job.

"Right, I had to meet you thing morning..." He groaned.

I mentally cursed at him.

What a son of a bitch, doesn't even remember that he wanted to meet us? I mentally scolded.
