You sat at your desk in the study feeling like your head would explode at all the information you had to take in.
It was an aray of colours, mindmaps and notes spread about everywhere, but nothing you did could get the information into your head. Your thought process was cut of by a ding from your phone, you sighed but refused to lift it until this topic was done.
After the fourth time your phone rang you turned it off, totally ignoring any connection from the outside world and trying your best for the exam tomorrow. You could not fail.
Nearly three hours since you had started your useless study, you heard the door creek open. You assumed it was just your mum checking up on you but suddenly you felt a hand run over your bare shoulder. You instantly knew who it was.
"Georgee" you whined, "Why are you here, I have to get this done"
"Baby, your mum said you've been at this for ages now, please take a break"
"No", you said burying your head back into the books.
He spun your chair around and knelt down so you were facing him. You avoided eye contact with him as you knew it would set you off.
He put his hand underneath your chin, forcing you to look at him. As soon as your eyes met his, you broke down. You wrapped your arms around his neck and burrowed your head in his shoulder. He protectively wrapped two arms around you and ran his fingers through your hair in attempt to soothe you.
"I'm sorry" you sniffled, facing up to look at him.
"No babe don't worry, It's nine now, let's just go to bed, yeah? You need a rest love" he said, taking you by the hand and leading you into your room. You followed without giving up a fight, you were far too exhausted. You flopped down on the bed and embraced yourself in the duvet. You felt the bed dip beside you and an arm wrapped around your waist.
"George?" You asked in a whisper.
"Y/n?"
"Love you"
"love you more"
