The music boomed loudly through your ears, not helping the sinking feeling already sitting in your stomach.
"Y/N, it's our night! He's probably in the studio, don't worry about it!" Your best friend shouted over the music.
You had gone out clubbing with your group of friends, and Reece hasn't been responding to any of your texts since you left at 5.30 and it was now nearing midnight.
You tried to shake it off and enjoy your night, but the feeling that something terrible was about to happen was always there. You constantly checked your phone, only to hear nothing back. So you were beyond thrilled when you finally left the club at half 1 in the morning.
Jumping out of the Uber, an unfamiliar car was parked in your driveway of the home you shared with Reece. You unlocked the door and shut it behind you, taking your high heeled shoes off in the process. The lights were turned off, almost like no one was even in the house. The feeling of dread sat in your stomach.
"Reece?" you called.
Silence.
You walked up the stairs, an eerie feeling in the entirety of the house. Gently opening the door, you expected to see him lying in bed. That is exactly what you did see but with another girl beside him. His ex girlfriend. Both naked, in your bed.
Your heart stopped, it only took two seconds and your world was now crumbling around you. A part of you wanted to silently make your getaway, only leaving a note in your place. But you knew you couldn't, you wanted to see the dumbfounded expression on his face. And get him back for how cruel he was to you.
You walked down into the kitchen, tears still stinging at your eyes. You filled up a jug of water, bringing it up with you to the bedroom. Taking one last look at the both of them, you threw water over both of them, instantly waking them up.
"Wha- What? Oh my god, Y/N" he said, fear and shock written all over his face.
"Get the fuck out of my house, first" you told his ex, handing her her phone before changing and leaving the room. Not before you could see the smirk she directed at Reece. Evil Bitch.
"Care to explain?"
"Y/N, I didn't mean it. She was having a bad day and it was a mistake! I'm so sorry, from the bottom of my heart, please don't leave me! I can't lose you!" He rambled, running a hand through his now wet hair.
"Well done Reece, you just did. I'm going to give you hell for what you just did, fucking count on it you haven't heard the last of me. This won't be a quiet breakup" you shouted.
His faced look a mixture of hurt, shock and fear. You lifted your phone up of the desk before walking towards the door.
"It's called Karma. Thought you would've heard of it, Reece."
