Alex POV

It had been a day since my attempt.

My dad had a business trip and my mom had to visit family in Virginia. I didn't want to tag along, so I stayed John's place.

"Hey Alex, I baked cookies~" John sat next to me, holding a plate of chocolate chip cookies.

"Thanks," I smiled lightly, taking one and biting into it's soft dough.

I had to admit, John was a great baker, and chef. But what was even better, was his apron.

His apron was a pastel pink with little kawaii turtles sewed on. It brought out his eyes, and he looked absolutely adorable with it on.

"Do you like them? I tried my best, even though I'm not super good at baking..." John said.

"They're great,"

It was pretty peaceful, until John changed the channel on the tv.

"OH MY GOD, ALEX! THIS IS THE SUPER COOL ZOMBIE SHOW I KEEP TELLING YOU ABOUT!!" John exclaimed.

I laughed nervously, but I payed attention to the show.

It was pretty uneventful for a zombie show, but Jack was certainly an interesting character.

"Who do you ship?" I started a conversation for the first time in forever.

"What?"

"Who do you ship? You can't be a true fan unless you have an OTP,"

"Why is shipping so important anyways?" He inquired.

"Because, it means you've been paying attention to the show enough to where you think two people would be a great pair," I explained.

"Ireland and Evan,"

"What?! Sorry but Jack and Ireland make a much cuter couple! He called her darlin'!"

"Fine fine, say whatever you want. I just don't think Jack'll survive,"

"Evan hasn't done anything crazy relevant to the story! He's the side character who gets killed off!" I argued.

"Yeah, but more important characters have more dramatic deaths! It would affect the audience more and that's what TV wants!" He remarked.

I sighed, "You just don't get it, do you?"

He rolled his eyes playfully.

"Maybe, but I know your weak spot," John grinned.

"Don't bring my weak spot into this!" I knew what he had in mind.

He smirked one last time before he started tickling my like crazy.

"AHAHA!! JOHN- PL-LEASE STOP!" I giggled breathlessly.

Suddenly, John stopped and faced the TV quicker than you could say "Christine".

I got the image of a zombie biting a character named Lucas before turning away.

"Dang it! Jack should have died..." John mumbled.

I pushed him off me, making sure he wouldn't continue with the tickling.

We sat there watching the show in silence, before I yawned and leaned on his shoulder.

I could tell he was flustered even though I was on the verge of falling asleep.

"Good night, Lex," John spoke to me softly.

"Night," I mumbled before drifting off.
