Alex POV
"Alexander~" John purred.
"What do you want, prick?" I groaned, waking up a bit more.
"Jeez, whatever did I do to you?" John replied.
"I just don't like waking up,"
"You know, I realized that we never go out too much," He grinned.
I sat up and gave him a quizzical look.
"So... wanna go get some coffee?" He offered.
"I guess," I pouted playfully.
John chuckled.
We got dressed and headed out.
The streets were bustling with people going every other direction, living their lives.
"I've always noticed that your dad is pretty overprotective," John spoke softly.
"Yeah. I guess he just gets worried a lot. I kinda wish I could have more freedom," I muttered.
"That's understandable- Oh, we're here!"
I suddenly looked up to see the all too familiar Starbucks sign.
We walked inside and sat down at a booth.
"Hello, may I take your order?" A waiter inquired in a joyful tone.
"Hi, I'll have a mocha, and he'll have..?" John gestured towards me.
"I'll take a Frappuccino, please,"
"Alright, I'll have those back here in a few minutes," The man smiled, and left.
John had an unreadable expression on his face.
"Looking forward to anything this week?" I started up some conversation.
"I'm looking forward to seeing you~" He cooed.
"Aww, yeah right. Doing anything else?"
"Nah, just doing you," He grinned.
I turned red.
"Anything you lookin' forward to?" John replied.
"Well, I have a chemistry test that I've been studying for forever now, and I know I'm gonna ace it," I shrugged.
"Really?" He rolled his eyes.
The barista from before walked back up to us with our drinks, and placed them onto our table.
"Thank you," John and I said in unison.
He chuckled, "You're welcome."
He took a sip of his coffee, and I noticed that the receipt had small writing in the corner. That's weird.
John POV
Once we arrived back at my apartment, Alex passed out on the couch while watching Stranger Things, but I kept scrolling through Instagram.
Once I got bored of Peggy and Maria's constant posting, I noticed a small note written on the receipt from earlier.
I picked it up and decided to read it.
Hi,
I know this might be kind of weird, but I think you're kind of cute. I'm Francis, the barista from the coffee shop. Call me anytime if you're interested. My number is 618-383-0542.
I didn't pay it any mind, but I still left it on the coffee table. I had a boyfriend, I couldn't possibly cheat on him... could I?
Hewwo!!!! Please don't contact that number.
