Chapter 17-Last Month part 2

Peeta pov-

"...wanna take you on a date today, so be ready at 7, okay?"

"Okay." Katniss says, but I could tell that she is upset because I didn't ask her to Prom, but what she doesn't know is that I am.

Katniss pov-

"I...wanna take you on a date today, so be ready at 7, okay?" Peeta asks me. I am sad, I thought he was going to ask me to Prom like Gale and Finnik did to Johanna and Annie. "Okay?" I say and hopefully I didn't sound sad.

~At their house, 5:48~

The girls are helping me get ready for my date with Peeta. "Be happy Brainless." Johanna tells me. "Yeah, who cares if he didn't ask you at the same time, he might surprise you or something, just be happy, okay." Annie tells me. They are right I nod my head and smile. they finish my hair and make up at 6:50. I grab my dress and put it on. I'm wearing an orange dress, that ends at my knees and orange flats. My hair is curled and I have very little make-up. (I'm wearing orange cause it's Peeta favorite color.)

I head down the stairs and all the boys are shocked by what they see, they have wide eyes and opened mouths, but Peeta has his jaw to the floor and is drooling. I giggle and he notices that he is drooling and wipes it. I take his hand and when we are about to leave I turn to face Gale and Finnik, and say " A picture would last longer, and turn around losers." and Johanna and Annie laugh, *snap* I look again and see Finnik and Gale with their phones out. "What, you said 'a picture would last longer' and it will." Gale says. Johanna slaps him on the head and I laught. We finally leave and when I get in the car Peeta tells me to put a blind fold on and I'm about to object but he looks me in the eye and says, "Please Kat, it's a suprise." I listen and a while later he stops.

Peeta helps me out and takes my blindfold off. "Peeta, oh my." I say and hug him. What I see is a beautiful candle dinner in one of the expensive 5 star restaurant. "You shouldn't have Pee-" I say but am interrupted "Any thing for my Girl on Fire, and it's reserved for us only." he says. "Thanks Bread Boy." I say and kiss him. We sit and eat. After 1 hour we are done and he helps me to the car.

"Put this in now babe. Please." He says. I pout then listen. After a while we stop and he helps me out. "Now Katniss, count to 15 and take off the blind fold, okay." He says and I nod and start counting. "Out loud!" he shouts. "One, Two, Three..." I keep counting, but why out loud. "Ten, Eleven, Twelve..." I hate surprises but then in the end I love it. "Fourteen, Fifteen!" I shout and take the blind fold off. Oh My Gosh! Why. "Peeta, oh Peeta."
