Chapter 35-The Day of Voting
Katniss pov-
Today is the day the kids at school vote for the Queen and King they want. "Okay so voting will start during 1st period in the gym, and will end at the end of the day."Annie says while announcements are out. "Oh and one more thing added, you can also vote for people to be Princess and Prince." She says at the end. That's nice. I'm sitting at a table in gym with Peeta next to me. "So Baby you ready to sit here all day to get the votes?" Peeta says taking my hand in his. I pout but say I guess in return. "Love you" he says and I smile at him. "Love you forever." I say an kiss him.
When we pull apart there is already a line of people ready to vote. "Oh I'm so sorry." I say to the people in front of us. "It's okay. That's was cute." A girl says and they all start writing down who they want for Queen and King and putting it in a box then who try want for Prince and Princess and putting that in a different box. I also know that some kids that have the elective, Videotech and waiting outside the gym to ask the people they voted for and why so that when the dance comes they will play the video with the students saying who they voted for and why then the Queen and King gets a dance and they get to make a speech and they get $1,000. The Princess and Prince however only get $500. I can't wait for The dance and then Prom. Oh did I mention that the King and Queen of this also win Prom King and Prom Queen.

As I stand outside with Peeta waiting for the group to come back from taking the votes to Mr.Snow. "You tired Kat?" Peeta asks me. "Yeah, sitting in those chairs all day only to get up one at a time to use the restroom...was tiring." I say and he laughs and agrees with me. "There they are" Peeta says pointing in the direction of our friends. "So guys tomorrow we will go straight to the gym...no the cafeteria and the boys will take the tables and chairs to the storage while us girls clean the floor and walls then the stage." Annie says, "Then we decorate. Then Friday morning we come here super early to finish decorating then Peeta we are gonna need you to cook food for Friday for the whole school." He nods his head agreeing. "Who is gonna get the drinks?"She asks. Me and Gale raise our hand. "Okay. So Finnick you get the ice and Johanna you get someone to come dj us and I'll sell the tickets and announce things." She says and we nod.
"So guys let's go do something, I'm tired of Lover Boy and Brainless leaving to go home and 'sleep'."Johanna says quoting sleep. We laugh and I playfully slap her arm. "Fine lets all have a sleep over at Jo's house... but before that let's go play laser tag." I say and everyone says yes but Annie is hesitant. She finally agrees and we go to the laze rag arena.

"Okay we will play 2 games one game consist on 2 teams and the other game consist of 3 teams. So girls against boys then couple vs couple." I say and everyone agrees to do couple vs couple first. I grab Peetas hand and we run to a hiding spot I would go to when I was younger. I know this place so well I have many hiding spots. We crouch behind this huge fat screen that let's people know who is out or if there is a cool laser shoot out it shows it on the screen. Me and Peeta sit down and whisper to eachother. "I don't know how I have energy to do this." I whisper to him and he giggles. "You know what..."He says. "What?" I say and he states into my eyes. "You look very pretty right now, with this vest on,"he says tugging my vest."and holding this gun." He says and I grab his hand. He pushes his lips on mine and I accept and kiss him back. I let go of his hand and move mine to his cheeks. He finds his way to put his hands on my waist and pull me closer to him and I sit on his lap and wrap my legs around his back. I love having kisses like this. He rubs my thigh and I put my hands on his chest and move circles on it with my finger tips. We break apart when we hear a ding. Someone's is out. I look at Peeta and we laugh. I get off of him. "So that's finally one Person out...five of us remain but we need to take three people out." I say and he nods his head the out of the corner of my eye I see someone move I signal Peeta to stay still I then stand and aim the gun and Finnick jumps into view and I shoot him but he ducks then Peeta stands with me and shoots like me. I'm sure this is showing on the screen right now. Finnick then shoots his gun but me an Peeta dodge it and Peeta and I shoot at the same time and hit Finnick right in the chest. "Yes!" We both shout and high five each other. "Good job you got the sea god out." Finnick says and I laugh. Me and Peeta head out of our hiding spot. We are in search for the last two and I know Annie is still out there and so is Gale as I see Johanna sitting in a corner with her hands up.
Soon I see Gale searching in a tunnel then I nudge Peeta and show him where Gale is. We raise our guns and Peeta says,"Mhhm" and Gale turns and he looks shocked then me and Peeta shoot like there is no tomorrow. Only Annie left. After walking around we finally see Annie and we shoot her. "Not fair!" She shouts and I laugh. So me and Peeta won Couples, now Girls vs. Boys.

We are in search for the boys. We took Gale out about 5 minutes ago. I tell the girls to wait so I can see it the guys are any where near and right when I turn my head to look in the corner Annie yells, "KATNISS! RUN!" I turn and see Peeta and Finncik behind me and shooting Annie and Johanna so that the are out. I ran for my life. I turn the corner and make a plan I keep running then once I'm far I climb.
I'm at the way top and I see Finnick and Peeta searching...good now I know where the are. I climb down and am behind them and right when I shoot Peeta turns and shoots and my laser hits Finncik and Peetas hits me square in the chest. I pout and he giggles and comes up to me and kisses my cheek "love ya!" He says. "Yeah yeah what ever." I say and kiss his cheek. As we gather everyone else and start walking to leave and head to Johanna's house someone speaks up. "Hey guys let's play a one-on-one game" Annie says and we agree.

It's just me, Annie, and Gale left in this game. I'm surprised Annie is still in it. As I'm about to turn the corner a laser is shot and it passes my head I turn to see who shot it and all I see is red hair running away from me. What the heck. I brush it off and start hunting down my competition. I then see Gale and shot at him but he dodges it. "Think you can get me that fast don't you kitty ka-" Gale says but I interrupt him by shooting him. "Yes...Yes I do." I say walking away. "Oh...and Gale you should really keep your gun up and ready." I say and he curses under his breath. Now I just gotta get Annie. 10 minutes later I see a laser and I dodge it and when I see Annie I shoot but she runs away from it. We are chasing each other and we pass our friends and they are recording the big screen that shows this intense part. Then Annie disappears. What.The.Heck. How did she- I'm cut off with a loud horn. "Congratulations Annie... you have won this game!" Finnck shouts and Annie is jumping up and down. Annie won. What.The.Fuck. The one girl who got out easily in the other games win. "Wow...I.....um well.... good....good job." I say turning to Annie and she hugs me. We then walk back to return our things.

Here we are. Sitting in a circle getting ready for a game of Truth or Dare. I spin the bottle and it lands on Gale. He pick dare and I think. "Order a pizza to be delivered to a next door neighbour." I say and he gets his phone and calls Speedy's Pizza. "Hello. Yes id like to order two large pepperoni pizza with bacon bites and stuffed crust. Yes. Oh and two liters of Pepsi. Yes sir." he says and keeps talking on the phone. "Nice dare babe." Peeta says and I say thank you and Gale finally hangs up. 10 minutes later we hear the neighbors telling the guy they didn't order the pizza and they start arguing.
Then we ear knocking on our door and I get up to open it. "Hello mam...Did you by any chance order 2 large pepperoni pizzas with bacon bites and stuffed crust and 2 two liters of Pepsi?" He asks. "No sir I did not. But I will gladly buy them from you if no one else will." I say taking out $10. "No keep the money, it's in the house" he says and I put the money back in my pocket. He hands me the boxes and sodas then gives me a receipt and I look at it and it has his number on it. He looks to the sides and I take a step back. He is about it kiss my cheek when Peeta yells,"Whos at the door babe?" The pizza guy moves back and looks sad. I feel really bad so I kiss his cheek then give him the receipt, and close the door. I go back to my friends with the pizza. They all laugh and we eat and continue to play.
Gale spins it and it lands on Peeta. It's like everyone is choosing dare. "I dare you to run to the nearest store in a panic, and ask them if they've got a goldfish first aid kit." He says and we all laugh. We give him a hat that has a camera and then he says, "But I'm not good at acting I'm gonna blow it." "Peeta pretend you saw me kiss another guy or I got kidnaped." I say and his face starts panicking just thinking about it. He runs and I get Johanna's laptop and we see what's in front of Peeta. He gets to the store and runs up to a clerk and he says really fast, "Help! Do you have a goldfish first aid kit!!" We crack up so much. "Um I'm sorry sir what was that?" The girl asks confused. "OH MY GOSH! DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT HAVE A GOLDFISH FIRST AID KIT!" He shouts still panicking but now he has a crowed. "I'm sorry sir I believe those don't exi-"Peeta cuts her off "THEY DO EXIST! HURRY I NEED TO SAVE MY PET GOLDFISH!!" He screams.
The lady calls for an assistance and we laugh even harder. Then a guy from the crowed goes toward Peeta and asks,"Son are you ok? What's wrong?" Peeta then breaths really hard and says very loud, "I NEED. A GOLDFISH. FIRST AID KIT!!" They guy is startled then the girl and some assistance go toward Peeta and one guy rubs his back and the other one starts asking him questions.
"Okay son, tell me about your goldfish." We laugh at this cause now Peeta has to tell them a story. "Okay...Well I got home and I fed him like I do everyday then when he finished eating I needed to give him a bath and clean his room so i-" and the guy interrupts Peeta. "His room?" "Yes his room! The tank! Anyways so I took him out of his bowl then took him to the sink and filled it with water and then put him in it. I then grabbed his bowl and took out his bed and his furniture then I dumped the water and cleaned the bowl. So after all that I fixed his room and put him back in. Then my girl friends called me so I went over to her house and we watched movies and talked. Then I went home and fed him again cause it was like 5 hours since he last ate. I mean he needs 3 meals a day too. So then I took a nap and just woke up and he is floating. So. I. need. a. GOLDFISH.FIRST. AID. KIT!" Peeta says and try try calling him down but he doesn't. "NEVER MIND YOU GUYS ARE ALL FAGGS ILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY WILL BE NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE ME A GOLDFISH FIRST AID KIT! SO FUCK YOU GUYS! Peeta says and manages to cry and then runs out of the store.
"Oh.My.Gosh.That.Was.Funny." I say in between laughs and everyone agrees. Peeta comes through the door and we laugh more. He tells us to shut up but we laugh more. We get back in the circle and continue to play. Peeta spins the bottle and it lands on Annie. She chooses dare and Peeta says, "Go to the neighbors and ask them for a spare condom." Annie looks shocked then she nods her head slowly.
She gets up and I give her the hat and as she leaves we watch the computer.
Annie pov-
I leave the house but then go in. "Do I keep going door to door till someone gives me one?" I ask and Peeta thinks. "I guess so since you bought it up"he says, oh why did I ask that. I go up to her first neighbors door and knock. "Hello mam what can I do for you?" A man asks. "Hey, um can I ask you something? I ask and he nods his head. "Do you have a spare condom I could use?" I ask and he looks shocked. "And may I ask how old you are? He asks. Oh god. "18 sir." I answer and he still looks shocked. "Why do you need it?" He asks me. Really!? That's a stupid question! "Cause it's my birthday today and my boyfriend is going to give me what I uhh want." I say and he nods his head and asks me what u want. "Sex sir that's why I'm asking you for a spare condom." I say and he nods again. "So you want Birthday sex?" He asks and I nod. "okay one moment." he says and leaves. He then comes back and hands me a condone package and I say thank you and leave. I walk in the house red because of humiliation and see my friends laughing their butts off.
Katniss pov-
We continue playing after Annie and her dare. She spins it and it lands on me. I choose dare. "I dare you to Blow a kiss to every passenger passing in a car for two minutes." Annie says I grab the hat and head outside. The first car comes and I blow a kiss to the passenger and then the car stops a few feet away and the guy comes out. "Hey sweet thang" the guy says and I say hi to him. "So what is a sexy girl like you walking by herself?" He asks me and I shrug and he laughs. He writes something down and gives me what he wrote and it's his number and name. Zack. "Well nice to meet you Zack." I say. "You too..." "Katniss" he nods and goes back to the car when the car isn't visible I tear the paper and throw it on the floor. I do this till time is up. I walk back in and spin the bottle and Finnick chooses dare.
"I dare you to Ask a random person if they want to make out, if they say yes make out with them for 2 minutes, then just get up and randomly walk away after that time" I say and he looks at Annie and she nods her head and he grabs the hat then walk out and walks to a park the he sees a girl and walks up to her. "I hope she says no." Finnick says then he is in front of her. "Hey, you wanna make out?" He asks and the girl looks at her friends and they giggle and she nods her head.
He leans in and kisses her she puts her hands on his cheek and pushes harder she asks for entrance but he declines cause he is dating Annie. When 2 minutes are up he tries to pull away but she pulls him and licks his bottom lip. She really wants the kiss to go French. He pokes his finger on her side and she jumps then he walks away fast. When he is far he takes the hat off and faces it toward him and wipes his lips and we laugh. "I'm sorry baby!" He says and kisses the camera and puts the hat back on. He walks through the doors and throws the hat and runs to Annie and kisses her roughly. They break apart and he spins and it lands on Johanna. Dare... again.
"Give Gale a lap dance for 5 minutes" Finnick says smirking. Johanna is red in the face but she gets up and takes Gale to a chair and stars. When time is almost up she yelps and we all look at her confused then at Gale and see what she yelped at. Gale has a boner. Oh. My. Gosh. We are all laughing and Gale gets embarrassed. "Gale you really wanted Johanna didn't you?" Finnick says and Johanna blushes and we all laugh.
"Well guys we need to sleep now we need to wake up in....5 hours to get ready for school." I say and we get ready for bed. I lay on her couch that turns into a bed with Peeta. "Today was hilarious." He says and I nod and kiss him. It starts getting intense then I break apart and look him in the eyes. "Later." I whisper in his ear. I then place my head on his chest and fall asleep.
