What Happened?

Chapter 7- What happened
Peeta pov-
I wake up and my jaw hurts really bad. I get off my bed and look in the mirror and it's a big bruise, what will I tell Katniss? In the mirror I see a big hole in the wall. I turn around and see the whole. I then look at my hand and there is a bruise. I go straight into the restroom and get ready for school.
Katniss pov-
I wake up and I still wonder why Peeta left so quick. Did something happen at his house? I get ready as fast as I can and decide to go to Peeta's house. I get my phone and my car keys and head to Peeta's place. I get out and knock on the door. A few seconds later a man opens the door. "Hello, who are you looking for sweetie?" he asks me. "Hello Mr.Mellark, is Peeta here?" I ask and he looks at me and says, "Yes. come in sweetie." I walk in and he asks me, "Are you Katniss? Peeta talks a lot about you." I blush and nod. He leaves up stairs to get Peeta. I can't believe he talks about me to his family.
"Who the HELL ARE YOU!" I hear someone shout and turn around, "Hello Mrs.Mellark I'm Peeta's girlfriend, Katn..." I get interrupted by a slap on my face. "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE YOU SLUT?!" The mom asks me and I get so mad I slap her back, "I AM NO SLUT! I LOVE PEETA AND HE IS MY LIFE!" I shout and she yell back. "I SWEARE WHY IS THAT BOY DATING A SL..." "THAT 'BOY' HAS A NAME AND ITS PEETA!" I shout. She goes to the kitchen and grabs something I turn my back cause I hear someone coming down the stairs. I turn around to see what his mom got, then I got hit in the jaw. I wince in pain and she laughs I turn my head and she has a fucking rolling pin, this bitch is crazy. I get up and she takes another swing, but it doesn't hit me. It hits Peeta. "What's going on Ersela?" Mr.Mellark ask looking at what he just saw. "Frank, that slut came in and..." she is interrupted by Peeta. "didn't I tell you LAST NIGHT SHE IS NOT A SLUT! SHE CARES FOR ME, SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING! I LOVE HER. SHE LOVES ME! SHE IS THE ONLY GIRL IN MY LIFE THATS CARES!" I am so happy by what he said, and I speak up next, "Look Ersela or Mrs.Mellark. Think what..." "SHUT THE HELL UP YOU BITCH!" I get interrupted by his mom. "LIKE I WAS SAYING THINK WHAT EVER YOU WANT OF ME! I DONT GIVE TWO FUCKS! ALL I CARE ABOUT IS PEETA! MY BREAD BOY AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!" I shout and walk out to my car. I get in the passenger seat, just incase Peeta comes. 5 minutes later Peeta comes.
"Hey princess, you okay?" he asks rubbing my jaw where his mom hit it. "I'm sorry she got to you babe, I really am." he says. I look into his eyes and say, "It's okay babe. I love you!" I say and give him a quick kiss. "I love you too" and we drive off to school.
While Peeta is driving I look at him and see a big bruise on his jaw. As we pull up to school and he parks I touch his bruise. "oww" he winces in pain. "Katniss what was..." Peeta asks but I interrupt. "Peeta what happened?" "I-I...fell y-yesterday when I got home. O-On the uh st-stairs." I nod my head, but know that he is lying cause he stuttered. We get out of the car and when our friends see us they asked what happened. "Well me I went to Peeta's house in the morning and his mom hit me with a damn rolling pin, slapped me, and called me a bitch, and slut so I slapped her back. And for Peeta he says he fell yesterday on the stairs and this morning when his mom was about to hit me again by that damn rolling pin Peeta got in front of me so he got hit in the jaw." they all gasp and we tell them it's okay.
~skipped to their 4th period(free period)~
"Peeta, I know your lying." I tell him when we sit down in the cafeteria,"please tell me babe, what really happened when you left last night." He sighs and scratches his head, "Fine, but please Katniss don't say anything." he says sounding serious. "Okay I promise." I tell him. "It's just that my mom, she wa..."
