Chapter 16-Last Month

Katniss pov-

It's our last month of school. I'm so sad, and our final exams are coming up and to make things worse I have to study really hard so me and Peeta really don't have time to talk. I'm in Gym right now, and we are playing Dodgeball again. Victors vs. Careers. This is getting boring like why do they always wanna see us play this game. And The Victors always win. "Yayyyyy! Another Victory!" Finnik says but not as excited cause we always win. "Victors 60 and Careers 10!" Finnik says and starts laughing cause of how behind they are.

We enter Mrs.Trinkets class, Music. Like always she choses names to sing. Today she chose Finnik and Finnik chooses Peeta to sing with him.

I look at Annie and she is smiling so big, it's so sweet. She looks at me and we hug eachother. That son was so sweet. We get out if our seat and run towards out man that's on stage. I jump on Peeta and he catches me and holds me up and I kiss him passionately. I love this guy so much. "Thanks Bread Boy." I say as I get off Peeta. "Your welcome Girl on Fire." he says as he takes my hand and we take our seats.

~Skipping to 7th Period, Fashion~

I'm sitting with Annie and then the intercom goes on and Mr.Snow starts talking. "Good Afternoon Students, now here is a message from the School Counsel President, Madge." "Thank you Mr.Snow, as you all know, Prom is coming and we are still letting you vote for Prom Queen and Prom King and don't forget to buy your tickets for $10 per person. The Last day to but tickets is the day of the Prom, 3 weeks. Thank you and have a good rest of the day." Madge says and the intercom goes off.

"So Katniss, I nominated you and Peeta to be Prom Queen and King." Annie says and I look at her, "Why..Annie you know I don't want to an-" I say but she interrupts me, "Just be happy okay." I sigh and nod my head.

~Park after school~

Peeta pov-

We all sit at a table and Finnik grabs Annie's hand and everyone gets quiet. "Annie, will you go to Prom with me?" He asks and she didn't even let a second go by and said "yes" like there was no tomorrow. Gale did the same with Johanna but she thought about it and said "yes" after 5 minutes. The girls laughed cause they know she was thinking cause she's going to have to wear a dress.

I'm going to ask Katniss, but not like they are, that's boring. I have a big surprise for her. "Katniss," I say and look her in the eyes. "Yes Peeta." she says and looks me in the eyes. "I..."
