Chapter 31-That Date
Katniss pov-
I'm getting ready for that date Peeta invited me too. It's kinda Awkward that he told me now he usually tells me a day before, but why am I complaining? I love him. I'm done getting ready and I wait for him to come in the door so we can go on the date.
Authors pov-
Peeta finally walks into their house and sees Katniss on the couch, but she is asleep. He goes over to her and kisses her. She wakes up and hugs him. They say hi and he walks her to the car. She gets in and Peeta gets in after. She tries to get out of him where they are going but he keeps quiet. When they get there Katniss has her jaw to the floor. Peeta sits there smirking at her and she jumps for joy in her seat and hugs Peeta.
Peeta pov-
I hug Katniss back and kiss her cheek. I let go of her and go to her side and open the door for her. I close the door and take her hand. "A Picnic at the beach while the sun set...So far this is the best out off all the dates you asked me to go to. Good job." Katniss says and kisses my cheek.
We sit on the blanket I placed on the floor and I get the food out. "So Kat I know your wondering why I told you about this date late and all but I just felt hurt." I say and she puts her hand on top of mine. "It's just when you said that I kept that girls number from Mc Donald's, it hurt me cause you think I like her. You are the only one I love. We love with each other and your the only girl in the whole world that I imagine myself marring and having a life with."I say looking her in the eye.
"Peeta....Oh Peeta I'm so sorry that what I said bothered you." She say hugging me really tight. I hug her back and kiss her check. When we break apart I take her hand and look at her.
"You know I love you. I love you so so so much Kat." I say and cures her cheek with my thumb. "Yeah, I know. And I love you so much as well Peeta?" She says and kisses me. We eat what I took to the picnic and we head home and go to sleep.
