A few months later in the library again Harry and Draco are searching for books on Nicholas Flamel. Draco comes across a book that had been previously checked out by a Hermione Granger. He comes running up to Harry, "Harry I found it, Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone. The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will turn any metal into pure gold and produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal. The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel, the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday!" That's what Fluffy is guarding on the 3rd floor. That's what's under the trapdoor...the Philosopher's Stone!". Harry was looking in a book of magical creatures when he came across something, "Hey, Draco did you know that if you play music that a Cerberus would just fall asleep till it stopped?!"

After a while the two got tired and went to leave the library when they had gone through an unknown door. They were met in a empty corridor except for a lone mirror. Harry walked up to the mirror and saw not himself alone but older, surrounded by Draco, Severus, another man... probably his other mate, and two little girls. He turned around to see they weren't actually there. "Hey Draco, come here and look into this mirror." He said backing up so Draco could see. "Woah! Cool! I'm standing there but older. Surrounded by you Severus, some other man with two beautiful little girls there. Do you think this shows the future?". Harry looked at the inscription carved into the frame. "Mirror of Erised? The mirror of desire. I think it shows us our true hearts desire. The thing we want most.". Draco nodded. They left before they were caught.

The boys woke up the next morning early, they had a rough night sleeping as they couldn't get the thought of Quirrell stealing the stone or what they saw in the mirror out of their heads. As Harry and Draco were eating breakfast Professor McGonagall spoke, "Professor Dumbledore is currently gone on ministry business if you need to speak with someone about anything come to see me.". Harry looked over at Draco with surprise in his eyes. He nudged Draco and whispered, "Quirrell is going to go after the stone tonight if Dumbledore is out of the castle. We have to act tonight.". Draco nodded and they got up and went to their classes.
