Harry and Draco's day went on how they expected. When it was close to dinner Harry and Draco went to meet with Ginny in the library to check her "progress". When Ginny arrived Harry and Draco were practically jumping for joy. They knew the diary would suck the life out of Ginny, literally. Her skin was paler than usual. Her eyes were almost drunken and bloodshot. Her hair was matted and unkempt. She had bags under her eyes as though she hadn't slept in days when in fact she had just woken up from a few hours long nap. Draco dismissed her and they went to the Great Hall as it was dinner time already.
Harry sat quite close to Draco during dinner. No one questioned them because they all knew that they had a close relationship. When Harry scanned the hall he noticed that Ginny was nowhere to be seen. He internally smirked as he knew there would be another student petrified in the hall tonight. He tapped Draco on the shoulder and pointed to where Ginny usually sat. Draco snickered quietly before snaking arm around Harry's waist. As dinner was coming to an end everyone left the Great Hall to go back to their common rooms. As they were going into the corridor they saw Justin petrified on the ground and Nearly Headless Nick just floating there not really moving. Everyone went to their common rooms without noticing the knowing smirks on Harry and Draco's faces.
A few months later closer to the end of the year Harry had gotten a letter from Tom telling Harry where the chamber was and that it was time for Ginny to go down. That night after dinner Draco and Harry followed the teachers to the corridor where the second note was.

"Hey, Draco go back to the dorm. Dumbles expect me to go save her alone so just go and wait for me.". Draco nodded and ran back to the common room as Harry made his way to the chamber.
As Harry walked in he heard breathing. He looked down to see Ginny Weasley laying on the ground surrounded by water. He quickly checked her pulse and her breathing. He sighed in defeat as she was still alive. He looked around to see Tom Riddle standing in the shadows. "Come out Tom, I would love to finally meet you in your own body." He called. Tom slowly walked out of the shadows with a smile on his face. Harry ran over to Tom hugging him tightly before dropping his glamor letting his ears and tail come out. Tom smiled as he petted Harry's ears causing the small boy to begin purring.
When they pulled apart Tom went to check Ginny's pulse. He smirked, she was dead. He quickly moved back and called for Medusa(the basilisk). Medusa ate her snack before going back to sleep. Harry covered Tom with his invisibility cloak and left the chamber. As Tom and Harry were walking into the common room Severus stopped them. "Oh, Hello Sev what are you doing up?" Harry asked. Tom rolled his eyes thinking flirting wouldn't help but was proved wrong, "Draco told me, he asked me to wait up for you and make sure you and (he points at Tom under the cloak) tom were safe.". Harry smiled, "Thank you for staying up Sev but you didn't have to. Goodnight. Oh and Tom I would like my cloak back.". Tom took off the cloak and handed it to Harry before Harry folded it up putting it in his arms as he went and kissed them both on the cheek before heading up to his dorm.
