The next day, we called father to see what he could do about getting the toad out of Hogwarts which would make it easier for Tom to go after her. Flipping the page in the daily prophet, I flared my magic, causing the spoon to begin stirring my coffee.

I felt arms wrap around my body as I lent over to continue to read, "When did you begin training your wandless magic?" Severus's tired drawl questioned, filling my ears sending tingles running down my spine straight to my anatomy. Biting my lip, I braced myself against the table. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath and steeled my spine, turning around and immediately regretting it as there before I stood Severus; dripping wet in only a black towel.

"Bloody fucking hell, Severus. You never can make anything easy can you." I hissed, pushing away from the table, grabbing my coffee, and going to finish getting ready for class.

I could hear him snickering as he walked into the room to put on his robes as I headed towards the mirror. Conjuring my comb, I began dealing with my hair, casting the spell mother taught me to maintain the black curls that father says I was unfortunately blessed with. But, I like them, I like it when Harry runs his fingers through them and messes them up even more.

Putting the comb down, I glanced at the mirror to see I had my real smile, the one I show my family. Biting my lip, I closed my eyes and began rebuilding my walls.

I could feel Sev's hand go to my shoulder as I continued building them, watching as the forest in my mind continued to grow, filling with traps and monsters. My eyes snapped open, flashing silver before settling back at their natural color. Blinking away the remaining silver flakes, I summoned my bags and kissed Sev's cheek before heading to class.

Walking through the halls, I kept my head held high as I walked towards the great hall to catch up with Pansy and Blaise before classes. Entering the great hall, I notice that everyone seemed to quiet down slightly for a few moments as they turned and watched me walk to Slytherin table before going back to their conversations.

"What was that about?" Blaise mumbled through his eggs.

"Have you not read the Prophet this morning?" I replied, being practically pulled down by Pansy. They shook their heads causing me to roll my eyes and shook my head as I pulled out the copy from earlier.
