Addison's spun around quickly. The Zombie—-Ari—- she recalled that they had called her, leaned in the doorway.
Her arms were crossed across her chest, "You're looking in the wrong place. This is just some lunatics safe room."
Addison noticed that her jaw was trembling."Is he okay? Nathan, is he still alive? " Ark asked her.
Addison frowned, "I didn't kill him!"
"Is he okay though?" Ari asked again, fingers digging into the side of her thigh.
"Yes, I think so."
"She kicked him in the face," Sebastian said with a grin, pointing at Addison.
Ari stared at her blankly and Addison moved to stand in front of Sebastian but Ari never came at them. She ran off back into the room where the others were.
"Do you think she'll be back?"
She nodded, "Definitely and not alone either. We have to hurry."
Addison didn't waste any time, she gave the room another glance to be sure that there really wasn't a way to get out from there. When she was positive there was no door in the room, she turned around and left.
"Where do we go now?" Sebastian asked from behind. Addison had no clue at all. She just knew she needed to get out soon.
"I don't know, but we have to keep looking we don't have a lot of time."
"What if there's a trap door in the room?"
She hadn't thought of that."Maybe, you look in the room and I'll look out here."
He nodded, "Got it."
"You're not finding anything in that room. I told you already.". Ari's return didn't surprise her this time.
"You shouldn't be surprised that we don't believe you—don't take another step." Addison stopped her, watching the girl in case she decided to drug her again.
They stared at each other for a moment, until Ari pointed at the wall in front of Addison.
"There's a hidden door, right there. You have to press the wall in and push it to the side."
Addison blinked and tilted her head, confused."You don't have to believe me if you don't want to, but the longer you take to figure out that I'm not lying is another minute that you spent here without getting help. Nathan is a strong man, he's hurt, but he'll pick himself up soon. I don't know if you want to be here when he does."
"Why are you doing this?" she asked quietly.
Ari's nose flared, "Don't question... Just go."
Sebastian didn't hesitate as she did, he ran for the wall and did what she told. Addison watched him but was also keeping an eye on Ari, standing there with her arms crossed, a pained expression on her face.
"It really works!" Sebastian shouted when the wall pushed in, "But it's heavy——I need help to slide it open."
"Take the entire path and when you hit the dead end it's the same type of door."
"Thank you," Addison said honestly and Ari nodded quickly turning away.
"Still need a little help here." Sebastian reminded her.
"Coming." She said, going over and giving Sebastian a hand with the door. The door was heavy but together they managed to slide it open. The only light inside was because of the light of the room they were in, otherwise, it looked pitch black. Addison's head nearly brushed the top of the ceiling. Sebastian stayed really close to her, one hand on the wall as they walked.
