Addison paced back and forth in her room. She had never in her life been one to bite her nails. She always had to be perfect—normal—which meant nothing weird. But the stress of having to stay in her house without knowing what was going on with Zed or the others was getting to her head. She would need to fix her nails later but for now, she had no other way to deal with everything.

After she led her father where they were she hadn't had the chance to see any of them, she had to go, but she never thought she would have no news about any of them.

She had been taken, or rather forced, by her parents to see a doctor. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her other than some minor bruising from where Eliza had grabbed her arm. She had been sent home to rest. And that's where she had been, and now she was growing worried about what was going on.

Addison took a look outside of her window, where half a dozen officers were ordered to make sure she wouldn't escape. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair, flopping into her bed.

"Addison?" Her mother called from down below. Addison got to her feet quickly.

"Mom? What is it?" She said as she ran down the stairs. Her father was in the kitchen, sitting at the end of the table.

"Dad, how are they? How's Zed? How's Bucky? How's—-"

"Slow down there, hon," He held his hands up, smiling tiredly. "I'm doing fine myself thanks for asking, just a little exhausted."

"I'm sorry dad." She said, coming up to him and kissing his forehead, "You know I love you and I know you're the exact opposite of energized but—"

"I know honey, it's okay. And everyone is doing okay." He interrupted gently, "Zed's perfectly fine himself. Bucky is...coping. He isn't freaking out about his new Zombie status, he's calm and quiet...he's cooperating."

She sighed in relief, glad to hear he wasn't throwing a fit about what he had become. He had always had such hate for Zombies before he befriended some of them. Addison thought that he would go back to hating them but maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't.

Her mom came with a large pile of papers she had been looking over in the living room, her eyes as tired as her dad's as she went to sit down.

"Are we able to see him?" She asked, taking a seat at the table with them.

Her father laid his head back, his eyes closed, "Not yet. It's going to be a few days until you're able to see him. At least until he's comfortable enough to have visitors."

"And Zed?" Addison asked eagerly.

Her dad smiled, sighing and looking at her, "Let Zed be with his family for a little bit, you need to rest for a while and he does too."

Addison groaned, "I've been 'relaxing' for the past two days and if I spend one more hour here without seeing Zed or my friends I'm going to start losing more than my fingernails from the stress." Addison waved her fingers at her father but he waved her off. Her mom was the one whose eyes nearly popped out at the state her nails were in.

"I'm too worn out to even argue with you. Missy will you please handle this. " He said, rubbing at his eyes.

Her mom stepped toward her and brushed her hair back behind her ear, "Addison, sweetheart, you have to be patient. A lot is going on and we just need you to sit tight and work with us here. "

She let her mom play with her hair, "I'm trying, but I can't." She said, looking up at her mom.

Her mom had a smile playing at her lips, "How about this: If you can just work with us instead of pestering us nonstop about leaving the house we'll see what we can do about getting you to Zombie town so you can see Zed. Also, stop chewing on your nails, please, it's a habit that is difficult to break. "
