(Hyungsik's Apartment)

Lifting the wooden spatula to the edge of my lips, I took a sip of the piping hot tofu stew.

"This would go so well with rice," I uttered under my breath, as I glanced over at the rice cooker by the end of the kitchen table top, lit with an amber light. Covering the earthenware pot with its lid, I turned off the stove dial and carried it by its ears to the side of the long but narrow dining table, letting it sit on a wooden coaster.

As steam continued to rise from the edge of the pot, I looked up towards the lonely wall clock, finding that it was the appropriate hour for lunch. Straightening his familiar but oversized shirt over my body, a fuzzy and warm feeling overcame me as I tip-toed my way into Hyungsik's bedroom.

As the door creaked open, rays of light infiltrated the dark and cozy room which had thick curtains drawn over its panel windows. A light snore filled the air, lifting the corners of my lips instantaneously.

Hyungsik's bed of hair laid messily over the pillow as he slept with his face down. The white and fluffy cotton sheets rested comfortably over his waist and legs, letting me savor the arch of his uncovered lean and muscular back.

"Sik, it's time to wake up," I cooed as I sat on the side of the bed, my hands finding it easy to brush the ends of his dark hair.

A deep groan interrupted his light snore, making it hard for me to keep a straight face. I tugged at his arms, "Come on, Sik."

Hyungsik's arms swung around lazily, allowing me to pull him with ease. His body followed the direction of my pull, but as soon as his sturdy arms gained strength, he readily swooped me in by the stomach, making me his captive.

Chuckles escaped my lips as he pulled me back into bed, and my thin wall of resistance came crumbling down in a matter of seconds. Lifting my legs from the floor, I let my body rest against the warmth of his embrace. Breathing on my nape, Hyungsik's long legs were wrapped over my calves, while his hands found their way to my belly as we cuddled.

As I let him hold me, the ends of my toes curled at the memory of last night. We have both unlocked the door to our secret gardens, and the encounter left me smiling throughout. While bare, there was never a moment when I felt insecure or defenseless. I was safe in his shielding and embrace, and the love that he showed me was more than I could ever ask for. Missing his face already, I made an attempt to roll my body sideways. The grip on his hands on my stomach gradually loosened, and I snuggled up to him as I laid facing his beautiful but weary face.

With eyes still shut, it felt like I was peeking at a weary angel, whose heart was bigger than anyone I knew. His appearance was innocent like a lamb, but at the same time, the sharpness of his features exuded a manly charisma. The duality of his charms extended to his long lashes: soft and gentle by day, sexy and dangerous by night.

The corners of my lips twitched at the impression he'd left me with.

Lowering my gaze, I found his swollen and dry lips staring back at me unapologetically. His lips, along with his hands, had been the cause of my euphoric high, breathing life into senses that have never been awakened before. They brought out the woman in me with ease, marking me as his wherever they traveled.

Basking in the wonder of his love, I smiled. There was no possible way of freeing myself from the hold of his affections, when he was so beautiful, both inside and out.

"Good morning, beautiful."

As though he was aware of my watching all along, Hyungsik's eyes peeled open slowly, as his soft and muffled voice greeted me unexpectedly.
