Hey Moonwalkers! I know it's become fairly often that I write a little note here, and it's probably annoying for you, but there's something I didn't get to say earlier. I didn't thank you for 1K reads! I thought about it, I just never got to do it. And now it has reached 1,5K... This is so incredible! Would you believe, more than 1500 times, someone has read one of my stories! It's crazy! I mean, when I started this book, 100 seemed like way too much to hope for! I know 1,5K isn't much compared to some other fanfictions, but it's pretty amazing for me! So therefore, thank you so so much for supporting my story, and I hope it has brought some warm and happy feelings into some of your days :-)
I L.O.V.E you all, so much <3
PS. You know that if you have requests, or want your name in a story, or perhaps both, you can always write to me. Either in the comments or a direct message, whatever you want, it will be happily accepted :-)
It's the year 1983, and you and Michael have been together for well over a year by now.
"Michael!" I call happily throughout the house, determined to find him quickly, to share my new information with him. After a few minutes of running around the house and calling for him, I hear a distant I'm here, and runs in the direction of his voice. When I find him, he's all curled up in a chair, reading a seemingly very interesting book, and not paying much attention to anything else. I was lucky he even heard me calling.
"Michael you gotta come and see, it's raining so much!" I exclaim enthusiastically, taking his hand and almost dragging him out of his chair.
"One moment, one moment! There's only half a page left of this chapter!" He quickly yells, not looking up from the book. Given that I am a bookworm myself, I of course respect that. I just want him to come now!
I stand beside him, waiting impatiently as he reads the last half page, to then quickly put his bookmark in place before looking up at me.
"Okay, so what did you say?" He asks.
"I said it's raining, really much, and I need you to come now!" I tell him, grabbing his hand again and running through the house, to the door that leads out to the garden. Michael just follows me, and when we pass a mirror, I get a glimpse of the smile forming on his face.
We reach the door and both wastes no time in getting our socks off and running outside, to where the rain is pouring down, barefoot on the soft grass. I spin around, laughing out of pure joy.
"It's amazing!" I say, unable to keep the laughter out of my voice.
"I truly is" Michael replies, his lips curled in a loving smile as he looks at me.
He grabs my hand and starts running, faster and faster over the grass, with the water splashing everywhere, both up from the grass and falling from the sky, making us both absolutely soaked in only a few minutes.
Due to the horrible physical shape I'm in, I'm gasping for air, when we reach the trees, he was running towards. The rain is dripping from the leaves, with bigger, heavier drops, making me shiver when one falls down my back.
I start spinning around again, laughing up at the sky as I take Michaels hand to make him dance with me. He happily does so, every move he makes radiating nothing but pure joy over this moment, over life and existence itself.
When the rain dies down, we're both tired from dancing and our throats almost hurt from laughing so much. But we smile as we walk inside, gets dry and change to new, warm clothes.
As we sit down on the couch, each with a cup of hot chocolate in front of us, I can't help but reach out and take his hand.
"That was fun!" He says, making me laugh once again at the childish happiness in his voice and eyes, that surely is to find in myself too.
"Yes!" I reply, unable to hold back a wide smile. "It's way too long since I've done that!"
I used to live in Denmark before I met Michael, and there it rains a lot more than in California! I have always loved the heavy rainfalls, and to go outside and just dance around in them. There haven't been much of that since I moved over here, so this was absolutely needed!
"Me too" Michael replies, and I can feel his thumb drawing small circles on the back of my hand, relaxing my whole body.
I move a bit closer to him, laying my head on his shoulder. He lets go of my hand to put both his arms around me, holding me close to him.
"I love you, Michael" I whisper to him. "I love that you will dance with me in the rain, instead of just staying inside like so many others. And I love that you can just hold me like this now."
"I love you too, baby girl." He whispers back, and I can almost hear the smile, that I know is shining on his lips right now. "I love that you can see fun and happiness, where others just see rain. And I love that I can get to dance and have fun with you, and then can relax with you like this."
I feel a soft kiss on the top of my head, and turns a bit to look up at his face. I see his eyes looking down at me, dark as the night and deep as the ocean. In this light they don't look brown, they look completely black, as a night-sky without moon or stars. Only the never-ending, beautiful universe, that I know is the soul these eyes are windows to.
