tom knew about the party. harrison invited him along, ali should have seen this coming. he declined of course, due to the fact he had lacrosse practice.

but you should have seen the look on his face when harrison informed him that his little sister would be attending.

when alison over heard their conversation as she was passing by on her way to english, which she may or may not take the long route so she will pass his locker, she made it her mission to beat him home to tell ev.

so immediately after school she made it to the bike rack before everlene, for one of the first times in a long time.

much to everlene's surprise, though she decided not to question it and quickly hopped on her bike.

they made it home without a second to spare, ali simply grabbed everlene's wrist and ran up the stairs and into her room, locking the slightly broken lock on the heavy wood door.

she shut the window and blinds before she sat down on the floor.

"he knows." was all she said, earning a weird look from her friend, who was used to her weird antics by now.

"who knows what?" she asked getting up to open the blinds again.

"tom knows about the party." before she could fully open them she quickly shut them again, turning towards her friend.

"what? how? does he know i'm going."

"yes harrison told him today, i overheard them on my way to english." it was just about now when they heard the large front door swing open and close followed by the soft chuckles of two 17 year old boys.

the girls eyes went wide and the glanced back and forth from the door to each other.

they seemed like a deer in the headlights when they heard a soft knock at her door.

"uh yes? who is it?" ev asked hesitantly standing in front of the door.

"tom." he simply answered, much to ali's dismay, his voice seemed calm.

"what do you want? we're changing right now, we'll be out in a minute." she lied.

"uh no need just wanted to ask how your day was, y'know and mum wants you to wash the dishes." he said to which the girls shared confused glances.

"okay?" she said but it came out more like a question than a statement.

"oh and i have someone coming over tonight to work on an article for the school paper." she added not daring to say his name or even the fact that it was a boy.

once she heard the footsteps walk all the way down the hall and she was sure they were in toms room, she turned to her best friend.

"he's definitely planning something." ali stated and ev nodded her head turning to open her curtains, catching a glance at the neighboring wyatt, to which was shirtless and pacing throughout his room.

she couldn't help but stare for a minute, until ali interrupted her.

"don't tell me you were staring at wyeet." she gagged a bit at the thought.

"no no i was just staring at the roses." she turned bright red as her friend chuckled.

"unless by roses you mean a certain lanky 15 year old boy, then i don't believe you."

"i have to wash the dishes remember? let's go do that." she changed the subject, pushing her friend closer towards her door.

"ah yes got to keep the house nice and clean for your date with olaf tonight." ali winked

"it's not a date!" she exclaimed catching the attention of tom.

"what's not a date?" he asked.

"uh nothing, alison is just being stupid." she rambled out quickly.

"hey! that's not true! you're totally hanging out w" she couldn't finish her sentence due to everlene's hand slapping across her mouth.

"with who?" harrison asked poking his head out the door as well, he would never admit it but he always found everlene undeniably attractive, everyone did of course, even wyatt himself couldn't help but think she was pretty, which only made him hate her even more.

"no one. it's not a date." she squirmed as ali licked her hand, though she didn't release her grip.

"better not be." tom crossed his arms, leaning on the door frame, chuckling at the frantic girl, who was about as bright as a tomato.

"doesn't sound like no one than, who are you hanging out with?" harrison asked, out of pure curiosity, if you ask alison she would swear it was out of jealousy.

"just someone from school, like i said earlier it's for the school paper he's co-captain"

"it's a boy?!" tom exclaimed.

"yes, so?"

"so, you will not be having a boy over."

"you're a boy"

"yes and i'm you're brother, what i say goes."

"no. it's not like i want him to come over, i'm forced to and why should it matter the gender? i could be gay y'know?"

"can't argue with that logic." harrison lightly chuckled.

"i hate this, but i'll allow it for now, only because i don't want you to get kicked off the newspaper team." he sighed a bit.

"my baby sister is having a boy over, god they grow up so fast." he wiped a fake tear before continuing on, "oh and your room door must be open the whole time and i have to meet him before you do anything."

by now ev had dropped her hand from alison's mouth.

"oh i believe you've already met." she smirked.
