"hey i heard what happened i'm so sorry, is she alright." finn approached everlene who was setting up her camera in the theater room.
"uh yeah, she said she was fine, thanks for asking. are you ready for the play?" she continued to set up her camera soon bringing it up to focus.
she looked through view finder to see finn all dressed up in his costume, she let out a little giggle seeing as he was dressed up as the 'beast' horns and everything. she snapped a quick picture for the newspaper.
"yeah i guess, i have to head back so they can finish my makeup, see you out there?" he smiled
"yep, i'll be backstage actually, newspaper." he nodded walking off to makeup, sitting next to alison who was already dressed up in her first belle costume.
it wasn't long until wyatt oleg walked through the door, gripping his book bag to his shoulder tightly.
"hey ev, how are you?" he looked down at her bandaged hand that was latching onto her black camera tightly.
usually he would have said something mean about her but something stopped him, there was this feeling in the pit of his stomach and he didn't like it.
maybe it was because he saw what damage she could do if you really pissed her off.
or maybe it was something else, either way he didn't like it.
"good thanks" wyatt nodded and opened up his laptop beginning to type something.
"i saw what happened on friday, i'm so sorry, i promise he will be out of your way from now." he tried his best to be kind.
"oh, okay." she frowned a bit and looked down at her camera, his heart sinking at the sight of her frown, something he usually would have smiled at. "i have one question though"
"ask away" he didn't take his attention off of his computer
"why was he at your house? the guy that did this... to ali" she looked up at him, her words spilling out quickly.
"he's a family friend, well sort of, more of a business partner... he means a lot to my family, seeing as his family is rich beyond belief." he stated and ev sighed nodding her head.
"i don't like him though, he's so pretentious. he thinks he can do whatever he wants and get away with it. it's like the world owes him something. he sees women as just an object that he can easily obtain. i know i make fun of you and ali a lot but i would never physically hurt either of you, that's too far." he explained, almost regretting it when he saw the small smirk on ev's lips.
"awww you care about me." she teased smiling.
she raised up her camera to cover up her blushing face, snapping a picture of the curly headed boy who was shaking his head, chuckling lightly. a small but noticeable blush played a part on his cheeks.
she looked down at the picture and smiled a bit, unsure of why.
when the play started everlene and wyatt took their place backstage snapping photos of all the cast together.
at one point everlene went out and got some photos of the crowd and what the play looked like on stage.
alison danced around and sung every song, when it came for her and finn to kiss, she felt nervous, she almost didn't want tom to see.
oh but he saw.
he clenched is jaw and didn't forget to send death glares at finn, though he had nothing against the kid.
the play wrapped up and alison walked back stage to wyatt and ev who were caught up in a fit of laughter.
they had been joking around with each other all night, trying to pass the time.
ev composed herself and walked over to interview ali, who was still dressed up and covered in the tacky makeup they used in attempt to cover up her bruises.
hey we're getting rly close to the end of this book and i'm kinda sad but excited.
see you in the next chapter <3
