everlene and finn played game after game until she realized a half an hour passed and everlene decided to look for alison again.
she travelled down the long spiral staircase and down a few empty hallways looking for her friend as if she was a lost puppy.
she stumbled into a room that looked like a library, it was covered with head to toe bookshelves and some fancy paintings.
one of which was a painting of four girls that seemed to be dancing around a meadow, all holding hands and smiling. it seemed as if glitter adorned there cheeks and atop there heads were flower crowns made from daisies.
everlene found herself drawn to this painting and let her mind wander as she stared at there bright smiles, she wanted to be there in that meadow peacefully playing in the daisies instead of pushing her way through a crowd of drunk kids, whom were mostly strangers to her.
she continued on her mission searching every crevasse of the house, inside and out, even the basement which everlene was terrified to even think about going in.
when everlene found ali pinned up against the wall of a almost empty hallway by some random guy she was more than surprised.
he had a strong grip that ali couldn't release herself from so after fighting it for a moment she gave up and just let the hot tears flow down her face.
everlene felt the anger pulse through her the second she saw what was happening, she hated seeing ali get hurt or taken advantage of.
without a second thought she ran over to the guy and pulled his of her, adrenaline fueling her actions, he was shocked when he saw who pulled him off was a girl a bit younger than him.
she noticed how caught off guard he was and took advantage of his moment of weakness and kicked his crotch making him yelp in pain.
little did she know her brother just walked through the front door and was now watching this whole thing take place.
as he hunched over she pushed him till his back was on the wall and then hit his nose sending his head flying back and knocked him out cold.
"that's what you get for messing with my friend." she said quietly before she ran over and hugged her friend who was wiping the tears from her eyes with her bruised wrists mumbling endless amounts of thanks.
tom ran over after unsure of what to say and hugged his little sister, he had never seen her this mad before not even when he accidentally broke her barbie dream house when she was younger.
"cmon let's get you guys home" he spoke leading them out to the car, pushing past the crowd of people who were watching the whole thing.
in that moment everlene's vision was blurred, tainted by the anger and salty tears so the people that crowded around all seemed like strangers to her.
she couldn't name a single one out for you.
but as you would soon find out they were not strangers at all.
okay so this ones pretty short but what did you expect the next one should be longer i promise.
and i didn't want this to be a cliche 'the girl gets taken advantage of at a party and the guy comes into save her' kind of thing.
the whole reason i put this in was to show ali's vulnerability and that she's not made of steel and to give a chance to push along her plot line because i need to work on that.
it was also there to show everlene's strength and that her brothers aren't the only ones that can defend her.
the whole purpose was also to show girl power and that they really look out for each other and just overall to see how close ali and ev really are.
this whole party thing will make much more sense in the future and i promise that it will get better
