everlene stared the bandages that hugged her knuckles even though she couldn't quite see them underneath she knew they were bruised.

she looked over at her friend who slept peacefully beside her, she noticed how the golden rays of sun beamed through the curtains and lit up her tear stained face.

she saw the purple and yellow tints that covered her face and wrists.

and it wasn't until now she even saw a few cuts even, her lips were swollen and everlene just knew if she were a second later something so much worse would have taken place.

everlene didn't want to wake her friend so she layed there quietly, listening to her heavy breathing.

she sat there for fifteen minutes until her brothers all knocked lightly on the door waking ali up from her sleep.

"hey just came to see how you were doing" they all piled in, paddy finding his place in between the two on the bed, sam and harry sat on the window seat and tom just stood in front of the bed.

"i'm doing alight, still sore though." ali's voice was hoarse and she gave a weak smile at the other people in the room.

"we can take you home if you like, i'm sure your mother is worried sick" tom said with sadness tainting his voice, he hated seeing ali in pain, even though he know he shouldn't he couldn't help his feelings for ali.

he would always push them away or brush them off saying 'she's like a sister to me' though few could tell there was something else there.

seeing her hurt made him hurt, he wasn't there to stop that from happening and it killed him, on top of that his little sister could of been hurt and he didn't step in he just stood there and watched.

that was always his biggest fear, seeing his little sister hurt, he didn't want some guy to take advantage of her like ali he always made it his mission to protect her.

sam stared with a worried look at the bandages around everlene hand, the longer he looked the sicker he felt knowing that if ev wasn't careful something terrible could have happened to her too.

meanwhile harry couldn't bring himself to look, he just stared out into wyatt oleffs front porch focusing on what seemed to be wyatt oleff himself yelling at a boy.

harry took note of the boy's bruised nose and busted lip, he seemed to be walking with a limp.

"did you say you hit him in the nose?" harry interrupted the short conversation not taking his eyes off of the pair on the porch.

"yes." ev answered confused.

"what did you say he looked like?" he asked.

"uh well he had light brown hair that sort of framed his face, his eyes were dark, his nose was slightly crooked and he was about toms height." she described.

"hey you might wanna see this." harry pointed out the window and everyone crowded around.

"is that him?" tom asked, feeling himself get mad.

"yes." ali answered tears pooling up in her eyes as she was instantly reminded of her pain from the night before.

tom clenched his jaw and began to turn around toward the door before ali stopped him.

"no, stay. please." the tears were now streaming down her face and tom just pulled her into a hug.

ev, harry, sam and paddy continued to stare out the window that was until the boy looked up and noticed them staring.

he saw everlene and clenched his jaw and began to glare at her advancing towards her window.

she backed up till she knew she was out of his view.

but what she didn't see was how wyatt walked up behind him and pulled him away gripping his wrists together yelling at him to leave and not come back.

that's when tom decided it was time to take ali home.

he helped her out and into his car, everlene decided not to come, fearing walking out of the house.

so she sat there in her window sill staring out at the wild overgrown assortment of herbs that were somewhere in between slowly dying and completely dead.

meanwhile tom walked ali up the curvy path that was covered by an assortment of various coloured leaves.

the rain poured down on them, neither of them walked faster or tried to stoped it they simply just walked, nice and slow, side by side.

tom simply dropped her off making sure she got inside safely before driving off.

bro i really just want to highlight the fact that i do use cliche themes cause i'm an unoriginal whore but i always try to put my own touch on them and i hope you can see that.

bribery is a scam that i fall for over and over again.
