I had absolutely no idea what I was doing as I closed the space between the two of us. I didn’t know why I was going to kiss him at all. As our lips connected, it felt as if someone just lit off fireworks inside my body; it exploded with adrenaline and it felt as if Atticus was its lifeline. I smiled against his lips as he moved his lips in sync with my own. Everything seemed to glow in that moment, but it wasn’t our emotions that were making us glow exactly. We both froze as we noticed the glow. Turning to the side, we both saw that the thing was hovering in the air and seemed to glow; no… radiate with power.

With that in our sights, we both cursed and made a run for it on the other side of the room. What the hell was that?! I was a little mad because this would have actually been our first kiss too! As we ran through the water-like scene, the scene changed once again. We seemed to be floating atop a cloud. We looked at each other in alarm, unsure of what just happened. What the hell was this?! We seemed to be hearing each other’s thoughts though, because I heard him thinking the exact same thing as if in reply.

Suddenly, the glow creature appeared. I cursed out loud, hearing it echo as Atticus seemed to curse as well. I then thought back to how easily it had been for me to slip into meditation earlier. I remembered as I just knew what I was supposed to do even though I had never meditated before in my life. Thinking about it, I allowed my body to relax and imagined the smell of rain wafting through my senses. I began to relax then, as I noticed that Atticus was still panicking a little bit. I ignored his panicking at that very moment and slipped into meditation. Calming, I was able to sense something building within myself.

The glow creature than began to materialize as a person. Standing in front of me was someone I had never lain eyes upon before. She seemed to resemble me though, as I took a better look at her. Her hair was the color that Atticus had; black as midnight. Her eyes were the same shimmering green as mine. This had to be Lydia/Luna. I stared at her in awe and turned to see that Atticus was still freaking out. Could he not see her? I looked towards her in confusion and she told me to look behind me. I did so, astonished when I saw myself standing there calmly with my eyes sealed shut. I looked back towards and smiled.

“Why are you here?” I asked softly, not understanding why she would be in my mind right now. She smiled in return, radiating her beauty.  She seemed to be thinking of how to formulate her words.

“Well I came here to help my children with their training. I guess one of them is wiser than the other.” She said, chuckling as she looked at Atticus. I let out a chuckle too when he noticed that I was immovable and began to panic all the more.

“Yeah I guess he still needs a lot more time to mature. But I want to know how I can control my abilities, Lydia.” I whispered, wanting to know how to do so. She smiled slightly.

“That is the difference between both of my children. One is wiser and the other is more patient than the other.” She chuckled once more before going on. “Well, you will learn how to control them in time… but I should think that you should return to him before he has a heart attack.” I chuckled once more before she began to shimmer awake. I was about to speak, but I was once again in my body.

“Embryae!” I heard Atticus yelling. I opened my eyes slowly and he seemed relieved. I smiled at him and then looked to where the glow creature had been moments before. It was now gone. I don’t think I’ll tell him about what I had just experienced. I decided, knowing that he wouldn’t answer. Before we could say much more though, we were suddenly pulled from this warped dimension and back into our original bodies.

I gasped as I reentered my body and opened my eyes to see Kam staring at us intently. She smiled when she looked into my eyes, but when her eyes connected with Atticus’ she frowned slightly, mumbling under her breath. I let out a soft chuckle at this before I turned to look at Atticus as well. He beamed at me when he noticed my stare, and I could tell that he was thinking about our kiss because his cheeks lit up a smidge. I winked at him playfully and then we both turned our attentions back upon Kam. She rolled her eyes at the both of our exchanges.
