{Gracelyn Adams}

"Love, you ready? Andrew just texted me and said there are hardly any fans outside. It's perfect timing for us to go.", Shawn says, knocking on the bathroom door. I open the door and he smiles at the sight of me. "I'm ready. Let's go.", I say, grabbing my purse.

He grabs my hand as we walk down the hallway to the elevator. We make it to the lobby, seeing Andrew standing by the entrance of the hotel. We follow him outside and the fans start screaming. Shawn smiles widely and waves. "Hi, guys! Get in a line, I'm taking pictures with every single one of you!"

He hugs and kisses me, and runs over to his fans. "We want Grace, too!", fans shouted. I chuckle as Shawn motions for me to go over to him. "Bitch." "Hoe." "How did you even get Shawn? He doesn't need a whore in his life."

I stop and look in the direction. I notice somebody in the back of the line flips me off. I look at the faces and this one face pops out. She is glaring at me. Why would she be familiar?

I feel a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay, Gracelyn?", I turn and see a fan with complete concern. "I'm fine.", I say softly, noticing wetness on my face. I wipe my tears quickly.

I continue walking over to Shawn and he wraps an arm around me and says, "Are you okay? I saw you crying." I smile. "I'm fine." "You're not gonna tell me what's wrong?", Shawn asks. "No, it's not a big deal." "Tell me later."

We take the pictures with the fans and hop in the car. "Grace, now you can tell me what's wrong." I shake my head and smile. "No, I'm fine. It wasn't a big deal." "It was if you were crying.", Shawn says. I smile. "I'll tell you later." "Why can't you tell me now?", he asks curiously. "Cause I don't want to start crying.", I say, tears welling up in my eyes. "Shit, did someone hurt you?", he says mad, holding my hand. I shake my head and pull my hand out of his.

"Shawn, not now." His face drains of color and gets replaced by red. I look out the window so I don't have to look at him. I need to keep in the tears.

I let the tears fall, laying my head down on his lap and he runs his hands through my hair, knowing that helps calm me down. He kisses my head and says, "I know you don't want to tell me. And that's fine, but it helps to talk it out.", he says, then looks out the window.

"So, how did you two lovebirds meet?" "Well, it was around 5 years ago. And I think it was on a Sunday and we were in a cafe in Toronto. I just walked up to her booth and asked if I could sit with her. She said yes and we just started talking and became really good friends. We just kinda clicked. And now we are together.", Shawn says to the interviewer.

"Well, that is quite some love story. One last question, for Gracelyn. Shawn is so young and he already knows what is going to be doing for the rest of his life. Do you have that part of your life figured out?"

"Well, I got into college for a degree in journalism. But I actually was helping Shawn and his team write songs yesterday.", I say, smiling brightly.

I look backstage and Andrew gives me a thumbs up. I smile and Shawn gives my shoulder a squeeze. "Well, that's amazing! Does that mean you will be the next songwriter for Shawn Mendes?" I nod. "Yeah, it does."

"Well, it was great meeting both of you. Can't wait to have you again!" "Yes, thank you so much for having us.", Shawn answers.

The camera cuts off and we get up off the couch. "Ready to go to your meeting?", Andrew asks us. We nod and start walking out the building. "You wanna tell me now?", Shawn asks quietly. I sigh. "Your fans are calling me names. Today, I got called a bitch, hoe, someone even said you don't deserve me. People were flicking me off. The same thing was happening when we got off the plane and were taking pictures with the fans." His face falls into a look of sympathy.
