Chapter 24: Just You Wait

"How are you doing LA!", I scream into the microphone as 'There's Nothing Holding Me Back' starts up. The fans get louder, for the song or answering me, honestly I don't know.

I feel the adrenaline in my body kick in, the same as it does for every show I perform. But, this feeling is a little different. This is a different type of concert. It's not just any. It's a recorded concert. My second one!

"I wanna follow where she goes..."

"I love the energy in here! This is definitely one of my loudest crowds. Thank you so much.", I say, making the crowd answer me in cheers.

"For this next song, I have a very special guest that will join me." I hear my name chanted. I chuckle. "Introducing Gracelyn Adams." I look at Sarah and she gives me a gentle push. "You got this, sis."

I smile and walk onto the stage. Shawn wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheek.

"She's got a bad reputation. She takes the long way home.", I sing. "And all of my friends seen her naked. Or so the story goes."

"You know that I could use somebody.", Grace sings. "I won't lie to you. I know he's just not right for you.", I sing, Grace harmonizing. "I know I can treat you better than he can. And any girl like you deserves a gentleman. Tell me why are we wasting time on all your wasting crying when you should be with me instead. I know I can treat you better! Better than he can!"Grace and I sing the final part together.

"Thank you for coming out! We love you!", we shout and walk off the stage. I wrap my arms around her and spin around. "You did it! You rocked it!", I smile. She runs her hands through my hair. "I can't believe I did it.", she says, biting her lip.

"Y'all did great!", Sarah and Ellie say, coming up to us. "Thank you.", Shawn says. "Oh, my gosh, Grace! You need to come out with music.", Sarah says. "We've already told her that, haven't we, Ellie? Grace is stubborn.", Shawn says, looking at Grace.

Her cheeks blush a crimson color and she says, "Y'all, that's not for me.", she says, looking down. Ellie rolls her eyes. "Listen to us for once! You would rock.", she says.

"No!", Grace exclaims. "You'll do it one day.", Sarah says. "Bet.", Grace says, holding out her hand for Sarah to shake. "Deal. If not, I'll give you $200." Grace smirks. "This just keeps getting better and better. Your dumb for this.", She laughs.

"Yeah, just you wait.", Sarah says, smirking right back at her. "I know you too well. It's so happening."
