{Gracelyn Adams}

"Shawn, honey, wake up.", I say, gently pushing his shoulder. His eyes flutter as he yawns. "Grace, angel, good morning.", he says smiling at me. "Morning. I have big plans for us today, let's get dressed." "Where are we going?", Shawn asks curiously.

I smirk. "Well, let's just say you are gonna need your Toronto Maple Leafs jersey today." "Did you get tickets to the game today? Oh my gosh, Grace, I can't believe it!", he hugs me excitedly, but pulls away quickly. "I didn't pack my jersey."

I walk over to the closet and pull out his jersey. "I may or may not have slipped it in my suitcase." Shawn makes his way towards me and kisses me. "You are perfect, Gracelyn Marie." "Well, I wouldn't say all that.", I chuckle.

"Come on! We gotta get ready. I got another little plan before the game." I wink. "Okay, let me go change real quick. I'm gonna be in the bathroom for a while, i gotta shower and fix my hair, so if you need to come in here, you can.", he says, before shutting the door. I nod in agreement.

I go to our closet for the time being and grab my newly bought Toronto jersey. Do you really think I just had a Maple Leaf jersey hanging in my closet? Of course not, so what did I do, I bought one lol. I slip it on over a white tank top with high waisted shorts along with my black converse.

I knock on the bathroom door and say, "Shawn, is it okay if I come in? I need to brush my teeth and fix my hair." "Oh, yeah, that's fine. You don't even have to ask. As a matter of fact, wanna join me in my shower?", Shawn asks. I can just see the smirk on his face through the shower curtain.

My cheeks blush. "Um, no. I'm good." "Oh, was that too much? I'm sorry, Grace." "It's okay. It's just, ya know, we haven't yet." "Haven't had sex?", Shawn asks. My cheeks flush red at the words. Good thing he can't see me. "Yeah." "Well, no pressure. We can when you are ready.", he says, gently. I smile at his kindness.

"What about you? When you are ready, too?", I ask. "Grace, I'll always be ready. I've already done it.", he says, turning the water off. "Well, don't you like, not do it until you and that person are together for a while?", I ask.

"Well, yeah. I mean, me and you have been together for 5 months and 19 days. I'm comfortable with you enough that I would be fine doing it.", he says, pulling the shower curtain open, with a towel wrapped around his waist.

I start running a brush through my hair, "That was cute.", I say. "What was?", he asks, confused. "You knew the exact days we have been together. That was adorable.", I chuckle. He blushes and kisses my cheek. I run my hands through his wet hair and smile.

"Hurry up! We gotta get to Central Park soon.", I say, gently pushing him away. "What? I thought we had the game to go to.", Shawn says from our hotel room. I quickly braid my long hair down my back. "Well, I thought we would go do a picnic before it. The game doesn't start until 4, so I thought if we got to Central Park at twelve, ate, then got to the game by 1:30, we would be all set.", I say, walking into the room.

"Are we gonna pick up some food for the picnic?", he asks, slipping on his jersey. I shake my head no. "I got the hotel kitchen to put together some food for us.", I say grabbing a pair of ripped jeans. "Grace, that's so sweet." I act like I flip my hair. "That's me." He chuckles at my silliness and continues getting ready.

----------------------------

"Do you wanna walk? Since we are so close to the park.", Shawn asks, grabbing the picnic basket from the table in the living room suite. "Sure, that sounds nice.", I say, grabbing my purse. Shawn sprays his favorite cologne on before heading into the living room area of our suite.

"Ready?" "Yup.", I say, grabbing his hand and walking down the hall with him. "What did they pack for lunch?", he asks me as we make the corner to Central Park. "I don't know. I told them to surprise us." "Awesome. I love surprises.", he says. "How about we sit on that hill up there?", I ask, pointing to the hill with a tree. He nods. "I like it."

We make our way to the hill and Shawn pulls out the picnic blanket. "Oh my gosh, spaghetti! I bet it's gonna be gourmet!", he says, pulling out containers of the meal, salad, and bread. "Woah! Look, Grace, they put macarons!"

"Yum, we will have to see if they are as good as mine." Shawn gives me a confused look. "Did I not tell you I make KILLER macarons?" He shakes his head. "You know, I don't even think I have had a macaron." "What! I love them! Try this one and when we get back home, I can make some for you. And teach you how to make them.", I say.

"Awesome! I honestly don't really know how to bake.", he says, biting into the yummy entree. "I can teach you all my skills! I love baking. But, only from scratch.", I say. "What's wrong with box recipes?", he asks. "You've got to be kidding me!"

------------------------------------------

"I can't believe we lost!", Shawn shouts as we are leaving the stadium. "I know! That was so unreasonable! I think you have gotten me to actually like hockey.", I say, impressed. "Hey, hockey is fun! I have no clue why you would like a baseball team from Houston, Texas. Not even our home town!", he says, in disbelief. "Hey!", I say defensively. "It's my hometown. My family loves Texas teams, that's why I love them, too. I've just been raised that way." Shawn thinks for a second. "You know what, I think that's why I love the Maple Leafs so much. My family has watched them for as long as I can remember, now that I think about it." "See, families always influence what you love!", I say. "How is your other family?", Shawn asks, curiously.

I smile. "They are wonderful. I miss my grandma so much. I FaceTime her a bunch, but I haven't gotten too lately because we have been so busy. My aunts, uncles, and cousins all support me with everything I am doing. I have these two cousins named Tanner and Ross. They are extremely tall.", Shawn chuckles. "As tall as me?", he smirks. "Ross is a bit shorter than you. Tanner, on the other hand, is taller than you. By a lot." Shawn laughs. "Seriously? I didn't know that was possible.", he says shocked. "Did he play basketball?" I shake my head. "He says it's a stupid tall person stereotype." Shawn nods. "It's true. Are you close to them?" I nod and grin. "Yeah. They are like the two big brothers I never had. I'm the youngest out of all my cousins. When we were all little, my grandma would let us spend the night at her house. She lives on a lot of land and a forest is on it. We made trails with our four wheelers in the forest. My uncle has a shop on that land and it has a big ice machine in it. When we were out of the forest and sweating, we would go in there and eat all the ice. It was some of the best days of my childhood.", I smile thinking about those days.

"Are the trails and ice machine still there?", Shawn asks, curiously. "The ice machine is. But, I'm pretty sure the trails have been covered up. We only go to the forest now to dump crawfish after we have a crawfish boil.", I chuckle. "I wanna go there one day.", Shawn says. "Well, she lives in Texas. I used to live right by her, but then we moved to Toronto. We can definitely go there soon."
