Game Grumps story [COMPLETED]

Two Against... Well, Everyone.

Dan and Arin felt awkward. It had been a week since the two had come out as gay to a not-so-supportive group of friends. Quite frankly, it had put a strain on their new found relationship.

"You should try hitting the 'B' button more." Dan suggested as Arin played video games off camera.

"I'm doing that Dan, and it's not working." Arin retorted in a ticked off tone.

  "Obviously not enough." Dan added.

"Oh, if you're so good at it then why don't you play instead?" Arin snapped  flinging the game controller at the other side of the couch.

"Oooh~ so that's how you're going to be?" Dan crossed his arms.

"How am I going to be? WhatEVER COULD YOU MEAN?" Arin yelled.

"Wow. Just- wow. You never cease to amaze me Mr. Hansen!" Dan spat in response.

This was a now typical day's interaction. Silence, bickering, full blown arguments, rinse and repeat.

The others seemed to have taken notice on this. How could you not? The pair would argue over the smallest things.

"I'm team Captain America." One would say.

"Well, I'm team Tony Stark." The other would hiss.

"Well at least I'm rooting for the guy with actual powers and stuff."

"Oh yeah, but you see, um, Captain America- hate to break it to you is a LITTLE B--"

................fighting.................

Fighting over the most pointless things. Over and over. And what for? An awkward night back at the apartment? Sleeping in the same bed but as far away from each other as possible? No talking? No love? No romance? Nothing?

That's all they would do anymore. That was their entire relationship. Nothing more than a pointless arguememt. Well, it was their entire relationship.

The two had been sitting on the couch together. Arin playing a game, and Dan on his phone.

"...Dan...?" Arin looked over to meet the warm gaze of the older man.

"Yes, Arin?" He cooed, turning his phone off and setting it down.

Arin paused the game he had been playing, and turned his entie body to face Dan. There was a long awkward moment of silence. Dan had a confused look plastered on his face. Arin looked down at his lap before speaking.

"I think... I think we should see other people."

He didn't bother looking up. He felt Dan's calm demeanor turn into an icy and depressed one.

Dan stood up silently, collecting his jacket off the back of the sofa.

"...fine." Dan choked out.

Arin swore he heard Dan sniffling.

"Is he crying?"  Arin questioned himself in his head.

Dan gently shut the door to the Grump Space, to meet the inquisitive faces of the others. All the guys, since Holly and Suzy hadn't shown up in days, asked Dan if something had happened. He took a hard gulp and sniffled whilst staring to sob.

                      "It's over."
