CHAPTER SIXTY SEVEN

'I just want to hold you; I just want to feel your heartbeat on my chest so that I know that you are actually here. I need for that to actually sink in, that you are actually here with me. I need for you to just let me hold you... Please...'' He said

Ishita turned and looked at him putting her hand in his lips before she pulled him in holding him like if she let go he would actually disappear. She pulled herself into him forgetting the discomfort she had in her knee and just held him tight because just like him, she needed this as well.

Raman put his arms around her feeling the warmth of her embrace as he held her just as tight. She let out silent sobs as she rested her head on the nape of his neck and he felt her breathe on his skin. He missed that feel and the emotions that came with it.

He let the events of the last couple of weeks sink in as he pulled her in understanding that he could have lost her, he could have lost the love of his life, she could have died, what would have happened to him.

With every memory he pulled her in letting all the tears he had held back for so long just flow because here, in this room, in her arms, he was not Raman the man of the house, RBK the business guru, Raman the father, in her arms he was just plain Raman, HER RAMAN.

They cried in each other's arms holding each other like there was no worry or trouble between them.

'I really thought I would never see you again...'' Said Raman as he slowly let go

'I thought I would never see you. ' She answered

'I am so sorry for whatever happened. I shouldn't have let you come home alone. I am such an idiot I should have known...'' he said

'No! This is not on you Raman. You can't blame yourself for this. It wasn't your fault.'' She answered

He wanted to ask her then why was she leaving him but this was a moment, a window he was granted that he was not sure he wanted to let go of, he was going to enjoy it because even he knew once she switched off, it was going to take a lot of switch her back on so he held his tongue and just enjoyed her being there.

'My God I missed you. Can't believe I even missed your stupid silly snore...'' he said chuckling a little

'I do not snore...'' she answered as she chuckled playfully slapping him before she got teary again and hugged him again

They held each other for a while until they heard the sound on the door

'Mom... Mom...'' Called out Aditya

'Ishima please open...'' Said Ruhi

Raman chuckled nodding his head at how his children always managed to have the worst possible timing in the world. He opened the door letting them in as they said

'Oh good Papa is back. Ruhi was worried you were here alone so she thought we would spend the night here with you...'' Said Aditya

'What! He is lying. He said that he didn't want you to feel lonely so...'' Ruhi tried to defend herself but Aditya interrupted

'Who said what is not important. All that matters is she is fine and papa is here. Goodnight Mom...'' Said Aditya as she came forward and kissed Ishita on the cheek

'Good night Ishima...'' Said Ruhi as she followed her brother

They both did the same for their father before walking out but they stooped at the door as they argued

'You always want to do stuff and yet when it comes to exec...'' Ruhi struggled to talk

'Execute...'' Aditya said
