Two Broken people make a whole

Steve's POV 

Usually, at this point of the party, when all the guests are leaving, we would already have Tony pulled away and put to bed by Pepper or y/n. Usually, y/n would be trying to get us all to go to sleep. But tonight was different. Tonight no one dared to break up Loki and Tony's conversation for they seemed to get along so well, and none of us questioned why y/n grabbed the expensive champagne and began pouring glasses. Then she handed them out. 

" To out new friend, Loki! May he have a grand time saving instead of destroying, and shall he learn to enjoy my crazy family!" She cheered. We smiled and clinked glasses in a circle. At first it was simply that champagne, and then it became wine, and then we had every alcohol you could imagine out as we sat in a circle playing a game of truth or dare. It was Aubrey's turn for a dare but i looked at her and knew what was the best choice. 

" I dare you to get Loki's helmet on and try to lift mjnior." I didn't see her think before she ran off. I looked over at Loki and saw that he hadn't even heard what i had said. Tony looked at me with a raised eyebrow and Thor excitedly placed his hammer on the coffee table. Then we heard a small crash and turned to see y/n. She was not only wearing Loki's helmet, but also Loki's armor which was far too long and muscular for her softer figure. The room filled with roars of laughter, including her own. The helmet which was also to large for her head, tilted and covered one of her eyes. I looked over at Loki whose mouth was agape. 

LOKI'S POV 

She stood in my clothes and helmet, and she looked like an innocent child. I felt the heat rush to my face as she giggled. 

" I am Loki of Asgard and i'm a jealous little brat who could have just talked with my brother and has no idea how great i am!" She said in a mocking tone. She was absolutely adorable and i couldn't stand it. I wanted to get up and confiscate her away to a safe place where i could love her and no one could hurt her, but alas that would only infuriate everyone in the room. Then she walked over to the annoying hammer and lifted it. Everyone except me and Thor were astonished at her ability to lift the dumb thing. Her mocking me went on for a while longer but then in a blur the night seemed to end and everyone was heading to bed. Except y/n was so drunk that i had to carefully help her to her bed. When i layed her down she some how grew to be so much more beautiful. She grumbled and growled and walked to her bathroom to change. I sat and waited and when she exited in a short night grown i thought i was going to die. She carefully wandered over to the bed where i was and layed down. I went to tuck her in but she stopped my hands. 

" Darling it is time for you to sleep. Do not forget you have been non stop for the past few days." I said as i carefully tucked a piece of her beautiful h/c hair behind her delicate ears. She rolled her eyes and pouted. 

" I'll go to sleep, but it's too hot for blankets. " She reached up above her head and grabbed her pillow and smacked me in the face with it. I scowled and glared at her. 

" You are so lucky that i have strong feeling for you... and that you are innocent in all the ways i have lost touch with. You are lucky you are perfect." I mumbled without even thinking through my words. She smiled softly at my and cupped my face. 

" You are amazingsoshutupbecauseiamhelplesslyfallingforyouandnowiamhappysad," She said almost to quickly for my ears. i leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on her nose, which just caused her to beam up at me.  "You sir owe me some cuddles." 

At her statement she pulled me down next to her. She intertwined her legs with mine and found her way to my chest. She snuggled into me and i felt a heat rush over me. I haven't had someone hold me like this in so long it felt odd but nice. I was falling then. I was falling deep and i wrapped my arm around her and then proceeded to only dream of her. Of her in all her golden sunshine. Her in all the heavenly beauty she has. And then i was awoken by a cat rubbing their face onto mine. The white fluffy animal meowed at me when it saw my opened eyes, and i gently moved it off of my chest. I looked over to where y/n should have been lying and found her gone. A wave of anxiety hit my body but was soon gone when i heard the hum of music from outside the door. I crepted out of the room and peaked into her small kitchen area. She looked like fresh sunlight as she swayed her hips and cooked on the stove. The salty smell of meat and the sweet scent of vanilla and maple all flooded my nose in a blissful symphony. I watched her as she carefully made two plates of the food. She walked over and placed them on a table. Thats when i caught glimpse of her face. Her face was bright and her eyes seemed to have hearts growing in them. The heat rushed over me again, and this time i wanted to hold her in a selfless way. The cat ran out and pounced at her feet.
