"Are you ready for the new semester to start?"
"Ugh, no."
Jinyoung was on the phone with his best friend and former roommate Mark.
"The break went by so fast." Jinyoung groaned. "I'm already stressed and school hasn't even started back up yet."
"I get how you feel, but I'm just ready to attend more parties. Remember that one time you danced on the dining table half- naked at Sarah Jessica's party? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Mark laughed.
"I told you that we shall not speak of it." Jinyoung whispered.
"Oh come on. You're a party animal and you know it." Mark said. "You have to come to at least one party with me this semester."
"First off, I'm not a party animal. I am a dilligent student who studies hard. Second, I went to one party with you last semester and now I'm the laughing stock of the school, if anyone dares to notice me that is."
"Yea keep telling yourself that, but you know you love it." Mark scoffed.
"Well I love the alcohol that's for sure." Jinyoung sighed packing his things for a long and boring trip back to school.
"That's the spirit. When we get back, we're going shopping for party clothes. I heard Jackson Wang is going to throw the party of the century, and we have to go." Mark stated.
"You said one party, but does it have to be that one?"
"Oh come on, don't back down now."
There was a long silence on the phone until Jinyoung replied.
"Okay fine, but if I fail an exam, I'm blaming you." Jinyoung said.
"Yessss. I can't wait to see you dancing on those tables again." Mark snickered.
Jinyoung was about to curse him out and roast him beyond repair, but he noticed that Mark had already hung up.
"Aish, this kid." Jinyoung clicked his tongue and finished packing his belongings.
Finally, it was time to leave. Jinyoung's parents drove him to the airport, they were all talking about what would come this semester before arriving at the airport.
"Bye! Study hard!" Jinyoung's mom waved her son goodbye as he walked further into the airport, ready to board the plane.
~
Jinyoung walked through the crowded boy's dorm to his room.
I wonder if Mark's here yet.
Jinyoung opened the door of his room and the red haired boy was laying on a bed.
"Welcome back to hell."
"Why are you in my room? How'd you even get in here?" Jinyoung said sarcastically.
"I know a guy." He winked.
Jinyoung rolled his eyes at that.
"Who's your roommate anyway?"
"My old roommate moved out, but I don't know who the new guy is." Jinyoung shrugged.
Mark jumped up from the bed and ran to hang his arm around Jinyoung's shoulders. "Anyway, how've you been?"
"Fine I guess." Jinyoung replied.
"You know, I missed you." Mark stared at Jinyoung, embracing the sappiness of the moment.
"And now that you're back, we can go shopping. I'm sure there is a plethora of sexy clothing just waiting to be tried on." Mark said looking up and moving his hand in a rainbow shape.
"When is Jackson's party anyway?" Jinyoung removed himself from Mark and threw his suitcase on the bed preparing to unpack.
"It's in two weeks, but I want to get the shopping part out of the way so I can focus on school."
"Wow, you're focusing on school? I didn't know you had enough brain cells to even say that sentence." Jinyoung teased.
"Shut up." Mark giggled and hit Jinyoung's arm. "Hey, not only that but you can focus on school too, since that's what you're good at."
"True."
"Hey, we should go. I'm meeting up with Youngjae in a few hours." Mark checked his watch.
"Ok." Jinyoung huffed as the boys set out to go shopping.
~
The pair walked along the sidewalk with their bags of clothes for the party.
"I'm so excited for this party. You know Park Jimin is gonna be there? PARK FUCKING JIMIN."
As Mark went on and on about the party, Jinyoung just tuned him out and looked around at the people of Seoul.
Everyone looked like they had their own lives and their own things to worry about.
Jinyoung wondered what the lives of these people could hold when he looked across the street.
He froze on the spot.
Jinyoung's heart stopped at what he saw.
Who he saw.
Jaebum?
He looked almost unrecognizable with his dark hair slicked back in a leather jacket, but Jinyoung still somehow knew.
He was talking to another guy with long slim legs.
Suddenly, their eyes met.
Jaebum's cheeks were hollow and his skin was pale as if he were sick, but he still had those same dark brown eyes that made Jinyoung's heart flutter.
They just started at each other with wide eyes for what seemed like eternity.
"J-Jaebum?" Jinyoung whispered to himself.
He completely forgot about all of his surroundings, including the cars that were speeding down the street.
Jaebum.
That was the only things he could think about as the started making his way to the latter.
Jaebum.
He went to step off the sidewalk and into the busy street, eyes still locked on Jaebum's.
Jaebum.
He felt arms wrap around his body and pull him back.
Finally, Jinyoung snapped back into reality.
"What the hell man!? You could have gotten yourself killed!" He turned to see an angry Mark shaking him.
Tears flooded his eyes as he looked back across the street to see that nobody was there.
Jaebum...
