What?

Jaebum's eyes remained closed as he waited for the pain to hit.

But it never came...

There was only silence as the sound of the gun rang in his ears, so quiet, that you could hear a pin drop.

Until the loud sound of a heavy weight crashing into the ground fills the room.

Slowly and cautiously, Jaebum peeled his eyes open, heart racing at what he saw.

There, a bit aways from him, was Mookjai dead on the floor, a pool of blood forming around his head.

The person who had the gun, a cool smirk on his face, surprised him even more.

Bambam?

*FLASHBACK*

Bambam had been lurking in the alley for some time now.

He was waiting for his dealer to come by, as he usually does this time of day, so he could snag some stuff.

Leaning against a cold brick wall, he closed his eyes and sighed deeply.

Yea, he was afraid of getting caught, but it was too good.

Too tempting.

The sound of light and hesitant footsteps echoed through the secluded area, and Bambam expected it to be the man he had been waiting for.

What he didn't expect, was for Jaebum to be walking into the warehouse by the alleyway.

Bambam gave a questioning look and slowly followed his unsuspecting friend.

He made sure to stay back so Jaebum wouldn't notice his prescence, hiding behind a large crate as he watched the older walk further in.

The young man rolled his eyes when he noticed nobody guarding the door in which he came through.

Mistake number one. He thought as he rolled his eyes.

How dumb could they possibly get?

Bambam pulled out his phone, remembering the pact he made, and called Mark.

"Mark, you and Jackson need to get over here quick, they have Jinyoung. I'm sending you the location now."

After he successfully sent the older his location, he turned his attention back to the situation.

Jinyoung was shouting for Jaebum, watching him move forward.

Bambam quickly ran around the warehouse, behind the crates, until he was behind the enemy.

Just as Bambam heard the click of the safety, he calmly walked out.

He pulled his handgun out and walked up behind the man and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Indeed, Bambam stood with his gun, blowing the smoke from it, proud of his work.

In that moment, Jaebum noticed a being in front of him.

It was Jinyoung, and he had his arms spread in protection, willing to take the bullet.

Jaebum smiled slightly as he embraced his love from behind, feeling the tension in him dissipate.

"J-Jaebum?" He questioned, fear still lingering in his voice, making Jaebum hug him tighter, burying his face in the crook of the younger's neck, enjoying his scent.

Jinyoung took this time to look around and comprehend the situation.

Since he wasn't dead he figured someone else was... and that's when he saw it.

Bambam standing over the dead body of Mookjai.

It took him a moment, but once he realized what had happened he turned around in Jaebum's embrace.

They held each other comfortably until they released and realized something.

The henchmen.

Slowly, but surely they turned their heads with wide eyes.

The men were staring at their dead leader in shock, not really knowing how to respond until Bambam spoke up.

"Your leader is dead, just give up already and go back to Thailand." Bambam said in Thai, almost whining.

He was really tired of this nonsense.

The men looked at each other and shrugged, walking out of the building.

Jaebum raised a brow.

"It was that easy, huh?"

Just then, Mark and Jackson came running in.

Mark went straight to Jinyoung, taking the shaking man in his arms and reassuring him that everything was ok.

They all gave each other hugs one by one, taking the time to make sure everyone was doing well.

"Hey guys?" Jackson suddenly said, getting the attention of all the others and turning their heads to him.

"What are we gonna do with the body?"

i was about to make jinyoung get shot so that it was different but i just went with it

this chapter didnt really turn out how i wanted it to and its short asf but its cool ig

i also might just finish this whole ass book today bc i really just want to finish it so i can move on to yugbam

plus there are only two chapters left and i need to write the prologue for the next book so theres that too
