Fine Ever Since

I started to walk towards the house, but got side tracked when I saw Carol follow Daryl into the barn. I didn't want to snoop, but I also wanted to know what was going on. I peeped through the holes of the barn to see Daryl struggling with the saddle. "You can't," Carol said jogging up to him. "I'm fine," He grunted. "Hershel said you need to heal," Carol said. She obviously cared for Daryl, that's for sure. "Yeah, I don't care." Daryl replied, showing no interest in what she had to say. I thought she was right, he didn't look fine. I took this as my cue to walk in. "Hey y'all" I said shoving my hands in my back pockets. "Rose, please tell Daryl he can't go out, he isn't healed." Carol pleaded. "I said I'm fine!" Daryl yelled. "Ricks going out later to follow the trail," She said meekly. "Yeah, well I ain't gon' sit around n' do nothin'" He replied blankly. "Maybe Carol's right, Hershel did say you need to rest. You'll just end up getting your self hurt even worse." which he just grunted in response. "We don't even know if we're find her Daryl," Carol added crossing her arms over her chest. Did Carol really just say we aren't going to find Sophia? "Carol don't think like that." I said walked over to the two. "We don't." She directed to me. I could see the unshed tears in her eyes. Daryl and I both looked at her hardly. She couldn't think like that, we're going to find this little girl. "I don't" This crushed me. How could she? I know this world is tough but there has to be some hope. Daryl just walked up to her. "What?" He questioned. "Can't lose you too." Carol said. This made my heart break, but I didn't let it show, just hardened my face. Daryl looked at her with a disgusted look, and flipped the saddle over onto the ground. He doubled over in pain holding his side. I jumped from the sudden movement and Carol was instantly there beside him. "Just leave me be!" he yelled trying to swat Carol away. I rushed to Carol's side and put a hand on her shoulder. "Stupid bitch.." He muttered. I couldn't believe what he just said. I gave Carol a weak smile before running up to Daryl. "What makes you think you can talk to her like that?" I spat a little harsher than I thought. "I said, just leave me be." He muttered. "You can't blame Carol for caring. She's trying to look out for you." I said, causing him to turn around. "I don't need no one carin' for me,I've done fine ever since." He muttered the last part. "I don't think yer' wrong havin' hope for that little girl, but you need to rest, we don't need anyone gettin' hurt. especially you." I whispered the last part to myself. "She could be out there, all alone, no food, no water, and we're jus' gonna sit here?" "I'll go out." I said standing my ground. "Not by yerself' you ain't." He said starting to turn around again. "You don't think I'm just as capable as you to find that little girl?" He just grunted. "I can take care of myself just fine, Have been ever since." I spat, making sure he could here the last part loud and clear. I don't need anyone to look out for me. I'm fine on my own. I walked back to camp joining Glenn on watch. "Hey, You alright? Looked pretty heated between you to." Glenn said as I climbed the ladder. "Nothing I can't handle," I replied. "Andrea's looking for you" Glenn yelled to Dale who was walking towards the RV. "Any chance you got an extra hat?" He asked. I couldn't help but burst into laughter. Glenn gave me an annoyed glance before putting Dale's hat on that he threw up. "Look a new 'Dale in training'" I said threw laughing fits pointing to Glenn. "Haha very funny, looky here we've got ourselves a new 'Daryl in training'" He said laughing at his own joke. "Not even funny, Glenn." I said but couldn't help a little giggle. I saw Andrea walk out of the RV with a big bag of guns, heading towards Shane at the barn. "Oh, looky here, We've got a new 'Shane in training'" I said lowly so Andrea couldn't here. Glenn burst out into laughter and I did the same, him lightly smacking my arm. "Seriously, I think There's something going on between those two," Glenn said nodding towards Andrea and Shane. "Well, whatever it is, I don't want anything to do with either of them." I replied, Laughing even more with Glenn.
