A year and a few months after Nevah's birthday

"That freaking counselor!" I continued to curse in Ancient Greek. My grip tightened Angel Lili's mane. We were in the sky, flying away from Monroe and her crew.

They were following below us in jeeps and rovers, shooting all types of weapons. An arrow flew by my ear, causing another string of curses to escape my mouth.

Where should we go? Angel Lili asked, flying higher into the sky. The clouds formed some form of coverage for us. However, there were still spots where they could see us.

"I have no clue." I breathed out, frantically looking below us. My hair billowed wildly, some strands smacking me in the face. "Stiles is going to kill me."

Not if they kill us first. Angel Lili muttered.

"Gee, thank for the encouragement." I scoffed. Biting down on my lip, I took a deep breath. "How in the Hades did she even find us? We've been flying the entire time!"

Something whizzed by me again, scraping my arm. A hiss came out of my lips. Looking at my arm, I saw a stream of blood starting to flow down it. The thickness seemed to be the size of a bullet.

"We need to go higher." I told my pegasus. The flying horse nodded and flew even higher. "I fucking hate their new weapons. I want to know how in the Hades they managed to create bullets that shot this far up."

Well, for one, they really hate you. Angel Lili commented.

"Again with the not helping." I groaned, using my non-injured to raked a frustrated hand through my hair. "The one day Percy needs to use Mrs. O'Leary, is the day I fly a short fifteen minute flight to Stiles' apartment and get ambushed."

Do you even know why he called you this time? Angel Lili asked. More projectiles flew at us. An arrow flew at my face. I released a shriek and ducked, protecting my face with my arms. A strangled cry flew through my lips as I felt the arrow pierce into my left forearm. I'm going to slow down and see if we can lose them.

"Whatever works." I hissed out, glancing down at the arrow sticking out of my arm. Blood was starting to trickle down.

Biting down on my lower lip, I tightly gripped the end of the arrow and snapped the wood. I bite back a scream and tossed the broken arrow aside. Hopefully it doesn't hurt anyone as it falls to the ground.

My pegasus slowed her flying pace, Monroe and her henchmen now speeding in front of us. A heavy sigh blew through my lips.

"Let's go back a mile or two and take cover for now. I saw a pond or a lake back there." I licked my lips, a metallic taste lingering on my tongue.

Gotcha. Angel Lili turned around and picked up her pace again.

I glanced at my arms to check my wounds. The bullet wound wasn't too deep and didn't need immediate attention. However, the arrow head that was still lodge in my forearm did.
