"What?" Robin asked her, "What did you say?"

"Huh? Oh nothing." Evie responded. She then began to mumble, "Does nobody know this is a fanfiction of a cartoon?"

"What did you say?" Connor asked, anger rising in his voice.

"Nothing!" Evie said flustered.

Crap, there's the Kriptonian super hearing at play again!

Just make up an excuse!

Evie quickly turned to Robin, "Just...maybe we should talk inside? Alone?" Evie said to Robin.

"Uh sure!" He said happily as he and Evie got out of the water and began to walk to the mountain. Evie quickly grabbed her towel and put her sandals on before following him in.

Once in they sat on the living room couch, and Evie spoke up, "So what is all this about?"

"Well basically, I've been thinking about this alot, what I mean to say is, uh." He stuttered trying to get his words out.

"My English Lit professor would kill you because of that choppy sentence." Evie said laughing.

"Shut up!" He laughed, "What I'm trying to say is," and then he was cut off by the Zeta tube.

Accessing. Green Arrow. 0, 8. Martian Manhunter. 0, 7. Batman. 0, 2.

"Sorry Dick. What were you saying?" Evie asked.

"Don't call me Dick around Batman! He'll kill me!" He snapped at her, causing her eyes widen.

"Fine." She got up as Green Arrow began to type something on the keyboard in between the two Zeta tubes.

He then pressed the intercom in his ear, "You can come through Arti."

"We getting a new teammate?'' Evie asked.

Green Arrow jumped, "Ah! Kid!" He whirled around, "Oh it's just you! I didn't even hear you coming!" He shook his head, "Yeah, yeah new teammate." Then the robotic voice from the Zeta tube started up again.

Accessing. Artemis. B, 0, 9.

Evie looked around to see no one sitting on the couch, she was specially looking for a particular cute black haired boy; though he was nowhere to be found. She sighed as she saw who Artemis was. She was a tall blonde dressed in all green, with her hair tied into a ponytail. She also had a green bow in her hand.

"Evie," Green Arrow said, then gestured to the tall blonde, "this is Artemis."

"Hey." Evie said sticking her hand out, "Goddess of the Hunt and Wolves huh? Interesting choice."

She grabbed her hand, "Yeah, didn't think anyone would get it." She chuckled. "So I suppose you're the Evie Lester I'm always seeing on TV? The child genius?"

Evie giggled, "Yeah, freak accident gave me superpowers. Which seems to be how several people in this universe get their powers. How about you?"

"Oh I don't have powers. Just bow skills." She explained.

"Ah sweet." Evie said, "Well it would be nice to have a bow-slinger on the team, after Roy left it hasn't been the same."

"Yeah I bet, so is there anyone else on the welcoming committee?" Artemis asked.

"Uh," Evie began to look around, "Yeah probably, they're probably eating, playing volleyball, or buring Superboy under the sand. Robin and I came inside to talk but he left." And she got every single thing right.
