The team sat in the cave watching TV per usual. Evie was in her own chair being anti-social whilst reading a book. Everyone else was on the couches.
Just then, an alarm went off, signaling to everyone that someone was in close range of the mountain.
Aqua Lad spoke up, "Artemis, Wally, and Sarah, go look outside. Use the mental link to tell us if the rest of us need to come for back-up."
"Got it Kaldur." Artemis said.
After a few minutes, they came back. Sarah was holding a cardboard box.
"Find anything?" Dick asked.
"We found this empty box." Sarah said.
Evie gasped, "Its like that episode of Spongebob. Ya know, when Spongebob and Patrick hung out in that box; and Squidward kept trying to get in."
"That episode was awesome." Sarah said as she set down the box on the coffee table.
"Imagination." Grace said as she seperated her hands over her head.
Evie walked over to the box and begin to investigate more intently then the receiver of a butt dial. "Hm, yes, very intersting."
"What'd you find?" Kaldur asked.
"Huh? Oh nothing, I was just confirming our suspicions. It is in fact, a cardboard box." she then flipped over the box, "Oh wait, there is writing on the bottom. I think its Latin."
Artemis took the box and began to read. "Felis Catis mutatio."
Then the lights went out. A red mist began to pour out of the box and began to circle the room.
"You've really done it now Evie! Can you not be a Sherlock for once?" Sarah yelled.
"How was I suppose to know? It's a box! Its cardboard in a cube form!"
When the lights turned on Evie opened her eyes. She was a lot shorter then before.
"Uh, Evie?" Sarah said.
"Yeah Sarah? What's up?" Evie said as she turned around.
"You're, you're uh," Sarah started but then Evie cut her off.
"You're a cat!" Evie screamed in horror and surprise.
"So are you!" Sarah said.
Evie ran into the bathroom and jumped up on the counter. The short red-head was no longer there; in her place was an orange and white cat with green eyes. Sarah jumped up next to her, she was a snow white fluff ball with blue eyes.
"Why are we cats? Why not dogs? Or frikkin hippos? Heck, I'd be happier being a potato, it's pretty close to me as a human anyways!" Evie yelled as she jumped off the counter and ran down the hall.
"Who else is a cat?" Sarah yelled, following Evie.
"I think everyone." Evie heard Dick's voice coming from the cardboard box.
Evie ran over to the box and saw five kittens inside. The one on the top left was completely black except around the eyes, mouth, and stomach. The one next to him was bright orange with green eyes, almost identical to Evie. The one on the top right was completely black and had blue eyes. The one on the bottom left was a tan color with pale green-blue eyes. The cat on the bottom right was orange with white going down from its face down to its stomach.
Evie looked to her left and saw a brown and black cat with dark green eyes.
"Grace?" Evie asked.
"The one and only." the cat replied.
"So who all is in the box?" Sarah asked as she watched Evie try and tip over the box, only to fall flat on her tail.
