Chemical Kid (A Young Justice Fanfiction)

Introduction

"I'm sorry," Evie said in disbelief, "What did you say?"

"You're the new addition." Grace said excitedly.

"New addition of what?" Evie responded, fear and interest in her voice, "What do you two want me to join?"

"Team of superheros." Sarah said, looking up from her phone, "Go on missions, beat the crap out of a few baddies, get recognition. Ya know, the usual." Looking back down at her phone she continued to scroll through Pinterest.

"Why me? Why not I don't know, Zatara's daughter? Another archer?" Evie asked them.

"Well we actually don't have an archer." Grace said, "We use to have Speedy but he quit the team, cause he's an over-reactive hot head."
Evie laughed, "I see."

"We want you on the team cause Robin said you had potential." Sarah said, still scrolling through Pinterest.

"Oh that sexist jerk." Evie said, smirking she continued "How about you two bring him here and him and I can settle this."

"Oh please do." Grace said smiling, "But what about your answer?"

"Let me think about it..." she said. Two seconds later, "Of course I will! Who wouldn't want to join?"

Grace laughed, "Great!" She turned to Sarah, "When should her initiation start."

Sarah looked up from her phone, smirking, "Right now." Suddenly she grabbed Evie's arm and began to race towards the Zeta tube at break neck
speed.

"What is that?" Evie asked.

"Zeta tube!" Sarah yelled as they practically flew in, "It's how the Justice League goes around to different places!"

Then the tube began to speak, "Recognizing Elemental B 06." And with a brilliant flash of light they were transported to a new place.
When they stepped out of the light they were welcomed by a several teenagers fighting each other. One stood out to Evie, Robin, who she wanted to be fighting right about now.

Sarah leaned close to Evie, whispering, "Go get him girl."
And with that Evie smirked running right at Robin as he was fighting a tall red-head, most likely Kid Flash, throwing a flying sidekick into his face, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Evie begins to walk away, dusting her hands off at the same time, "That felt good."

"Not just good." Grace said.

"Brilliant." Sarah finished Grace's thought.

Robin laughed, "Evie didn't know you felt that much animosity to me."

"Well ya know, I kinda needed the female percentage of the world to get a win in this battle. But ya know, I don't really care." She laughed, pointing at the tall skinny black haired boy, "But this isn't over."

"I thought it wouldn't be." He chuckled, getting up, "Well Evie, would you like to meet the team, or do you still hate me?"

Evie shrugged, "I'm easy going, I really stopped caring. But it looks like you're in the middle of something. Sarah and Grace can, "she turned around seeing no one, "and they're gone." She turned back to Robin who began to walk closer.

"I can take a break from training, it's fine." He said to the short red head.
"Oh uh, ok." Evie said, feeling a slight heat in her cheeks, there was that smell again, that tantalizing scent.
"So who do you know so far?" He asked Evie.

"You, Sarah and Grace." She responding, acting as chill and relaxed as possible.

"Ah ok, so I have to introduce you to everyone?" He asked.
