Chemical Kid (A Young Justice Fanfiction)

Beach

Evie walked into the the cave to find it empty. She wore a green bathing suit, aviator sunglasses and sandals. The team was going to have a beach day, considering the mountain was right next to a beach it just seemed right. Evie set her tote down in front of her feet.

"Hello?" Evie yelled out, "Are you guys not here? Am I early?" She then began to get agitated, "I took a four A.M. class to be here, and nobody is here. This is my luck, Murphy's law type stuff huh?" She huffed and began to walk, but not without first tripping over her bag and face planting the floor.

She picked her tote back up and walked to the living room and sat on one of the couches. She pulled her phone out of the bag and went to call Sarah, who was also coming to the beach; along with Grace, Dick, M'gann, Kaldur and Connor.

After the call rang twice Sarah picked up the phone, "Hey Evie what's up?"

"Hey I'm at the cave where are you all at? I thought we agreed noon?" Evie asked, trying to hide the irritation in her voice.

"Oh crap! I thought it was at one!" She then screamed, "Grace! Pack up! We gotta get to the mount!" Then silence, "Evie's already there!" More silence, "I don't know if M'gann and Connor are there! Just get your butt off the couch, quit playing on my Xbox and pack!"

"Uh. You two okay?" Evie asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah, Grace just doesn't like not chilling out. We'll be there in about thirty minutes. If Grace will hurry up!" Sarah then ended the phone as the Zeta tube started up.

Recognising. Robin. B, 0, 1.

Robin walked out of the Zeta tube in black swimming trucks, and sunglasses. He began to look around when Evie yelled out, "Congrats, you got second place."

"Hey Evie!" He yelled and ran to where she was at on the couch. He jumped the top part of the couch and landed next to her. She put her phone back in her tote as he began to speak, "So, about last night."

"What about last night?" Evie asked smirking.

"Well, that kiss." He started, "Did you, uh, what I mean is, uh, how did you mean it to be?"

"Pardon?" Evie asked.

"Like did you mean the kiss in a friend way, or..." he began to trail off.

"I ment it as a-" Evie was cut off by the Zeta tube begining to speak.

Recognizing. Elemental. B, 0, 6. Hunter. B, 0, 7.

Sarah and Grace both stepped out of the Zeta tube in their bathing suits. Sarah had a black one piece on with black shorts; Grace wore a red bikini top and black bottoms. Grace also held a black tote bag, most likely holding their beach things.

"We're here!" Sarah said running over, "Where are Connor and M'gann?"

"Not a clue." Evie said getting up and grabbing her tote.

"They live here so they should be here soon." Grace explained to Evie.

"Oh they live here? Are they a couple?" Evie asked.

"We aren't sure." Dick said, "Grace likes Connor so..." he began to trail off.

"Oh that's adorable!" Evie said, "And I don't like M'gann so that's perfect!"

"I know it is perfect!" Sarah said, "Do you guys want to just go ahead and head out there?"

"Uh sure." Dick said, "But I gotta finish this conversation with Evie. It's about our next mission."

"Oh uh ok," Grace said as they began to walk outside, "See you two out there."

After the two left Dick looked back at Evie, "So what were you saying?"
