Voices filled with laughter and happiness begin to sound muffled and slow in motion as my sister repeats her previously spoken sentence on the phone.
"Broken Castle might be getting dropped from Fueled By Ramen."
The distant cheering is merely a whisper as I can only hear Victoria's voice ringing in my ear and my heart about to beat out of my chest.
Broken Castle...getting...dropped?
No, this can't be happening. Not now, not ever.
"Wh-Uh-I-I don't, I don't...understand?" I'm barely able to spit out a word as Victoria deep sighs.
"A bunch of generic Hollywood gossip blogs and shows and what not got access to footage of you and Grayson..."
"People think we're dating again?" I say stern and annoyed but quiet enough to not alarm the others.
"Not just that but..." Victoria lets out another breath. "Did something happen where Grayson got sort of angry at a paparazzi?"
My mind suddenly flashes back to the day we visited the Hollywood sign and all that went down.
-FLASHBACK-
"Grayson, let go!" I yell.
He raises a fist.
I shut my eyes tight, Grayson looks over, softening his face as he grows less tense.
He then releases the man who takes off running with his camera.
Grayson lets out a short breath.
"I'm sorry." He apologizes, looking at his feet.
-FLASHBACK END-
Dammit, the paparazzi didn't delete the photo I guess.
"Y-Yeah, Grayson had been really easily angered a while ago and he just snapped at this guy one day after a photo...I don't understand why FBR wants to drop us though?"
"I honestly don't get it either, some head people in charge think the band has had too much bad drama lately and doesn't know if we're handeling it well. I'm trying to convince them it's all dumb though. All publicity is good publicity right?"
I try to convince myself Victoria's got this covered. She's a determined girl, what she wants she gets.
"Hey, don't let this be a damper on your mood though, sister. You're getting married to Josh Dun! I'm incredibly happy for you." Victoria tries to lighten the mood with a reminder I'm engaged.
This is such a damper, I hope this all blows over soon.
I try to force a grin as I let out a deep breath. "Thanks Victoria. Let me know if anything else happens."
"I will."
I hang up and turn around to see Josh standing directly there.
"Oh! Hey there." I look up at my new fiancee, he beams.
