-Lisa-

"Where is Jennie?" I asked, filling my mouth with rice.

Earlier this morning, I sat on my chair and was waiting for Jennie to enter the classroom, but to no avail, she was not able to. Until the bell finally rang.

And ever since, I kept wondering why Jennie was not there. Usually, she always came around five minutes after I did.

"Oh, she wasn't able to tell you?" Rosé said, her cheeks full of food, making her look like a chipmunk, and I smiled a little.

"Tell me what?" I asked back.

Rosé opened her mouth, wanting to answer me, but Jisoo cut her off, answering for her.

"She caught a cold because of the rain yesterday," She said, her eyes on her food.

I parted my lips and nodded, eating once again.

We continued eating, exchanging words from time to time before eating once again. And I thought of different things when we were quiet.

But, my eating session was disturbed when, from the corner of my eye, I saw someone sat down a few chairs away from the three of us.

And because I wanted to know who it was, I turned my head to see, taking a small look at the small, ink-drawn Saturn on my wrist.

It was Yeon A and her other two friends, and a lot different than the other days, she looked low. She was wearing tight clothes, which I am afraid, it would suffocate her. But it didn't look like it, she looked comfortable in them. Her makeup was done well, but also looked too much for a normal school day. But I've seen her wear an even more extreme look than right now, and honestly, I was already used to seeing her wear what she wears.

She looked pretty, but not beautiful. Her expression was dark and she was picking on her food. Her friends looked at her with much worry, but said nothing. It scared me a little, seeing her on the verge of tears. She certainly was not good in hiding what she felt.

And suddenly, the thought of Jungkook then appeared in my head, was he the reason why?

I already got that Yeon A liked Jungkook, but I don't know in what way. But if ever the reason was him, I'm sure she had sincere feelings, because if not, she wouldn't look so bad.

Unexpectedly, my eyes looked around the cafeteria, suddenly looking for Jungkook and his group, but they weren't here.

I then shook my head, no longer wanting to fill my head up with thoughts I was not supposed to think in the first place. And so, I looked at my wrist again, dreaming of Saturn.

I felt a small tap on my shoulder, and I already knew who it was. Of course I did, he always did that whenever he wanted to talk to me about nonsense things that would do me no good in the future, like come on, talk to me about the girl.

I looked beside me, raising a brow.

"Yes?"

"Okay, so I wasn't able to finish what I was going to ask you last time," He said, fast.

Finally.

My thoughts screamed in my head, I was finally gonna know what he wanted to say. Looks like I'd be killing curiosity this time.

I nodded once, a signal that told him 'go on.'

His eyes took its gaze from mine and he looked at his side, looking so uncomfortable. He cleared his throat after and proceeded.

"You're friends with Jennie, right?"

"Yes, why?" I asked, getting suspicious. Why ask me that suddenly?

"Ah, nothing. Just curious."

"You?  Curious?  Is it not obvious I already am?" The questions followed.

"What do you mean?" He furrowed his eyebrows and leaned forward, making me move backwards wanting to keep the distance.

"I mean, you always see me eating with her and her friends, talking to them—isn't it obvious?"

He rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Why are we making this such a big deal?"

"I don't how, you were the one that asked."

He sighed deeply, "Let's just forget I even asked you that. Now, tell me more about yourself, Lalisa."

He was fast in changing topics, I learned through the days. If he didn't want to answer a question you asked, he would change it as fast as snapping your fingers.

"Why?" I asked, suddenly confused when he asked me to tell him more about myself, because he never did, and I'd like to keep it that way.

"You are so secretive, you know that, right? You tend to stay quiet and leave me hanging whenever I ask you something, and other times you talk back to me amusingly?"

He said it like a question.

Jungkook, he's a great actor, but his eyes aren't. He knew his ways, I'm sure. He knew how to react looking like it was authentic, but his eyes does not. The eyes never lie.

And right now, his eyes told me he was truly confused, shocking me.

"That's just how I am," I said, truthfully.

Jungkook opened his mouth to say something, but the voice of our Health teacher stopped him.

"Ms. Lalisa and Mr. Jungkook, please quit talking and start copying the notes on the board," She said softly. She looked young and fit, but her face was not really that captivating to me. Her eyes were sharp and made her look scary, but she isn't really like that.

I nodded my head, embarrassed. I kept my head low, not wanting to see the stares of our classmates that just found out we were talking. And silently, I whispered a 'thank you,' because Jennie was not here to know me and Jungkook talk.

The teacher returned to writing on the board and I enjoyed myself, listening to the chalk meeting with the board's surface.

I kept my eyes glued on the white pages of my notebook that was about to be filled with notes. For a second, my eyes looked down on the floor, catching a small strip of paper that looked to be from a fortune cookie, folded neatly. It was just a few inches away from my table and I looked at the students around me, including Jungkook, to see  if any of them was looking at me. And luckily, no one was, so I bent down, taking the paper in between my fingers and hid it under my table.

I slowly unfolded it carefully and read what it said.

Love is just somewhere around the corner.
