-Lisa-
Three more days.
I thought. There were only three more days until my father would finally arrive and come back to us, at least, for a week before he goes back to abroad, which saddened me. But I shook that feeling, and just thanked that he at least was given time to spend it with us, even though it was unfair that the time he was given was too short, it's better than not seeing him at all.
I smiled at the thought of me and my father embracing each other, and most times we did, I didn't feel like he was my father, it felt more like a best friend hug to me, because that's what he actually was to me, a best friend.
I kept my head low, though. Not wanting to let the students around the halls see me stupidly smile at thoughts they don't know about, and though most of them was talking and most probably didn't really care much about my presence, I still needed to because my thoughts wanted to be reassured.
There were a handful of students in the school already, and I realized, I was later than usual, but I didn't seem to care at the moment. My father being home was overshadowing the care I felt at being late.
I continued walking towards the staircase, holding on the straps of my bag tighter, still keeping the smile I drew on my face, hidden.
My eyes were on the floor, and yet my focus was on my way, something I was doing quite a lot. And once I reached the stairs, I took each step slowly, taking my time.
In just a matter of seconds, my smile was already gone and I looked at the sun rise through a large window beside the wall that was infront of the stairs when you finished the first half of the staircase. The rays passed through the glass and I was fortunate enough for it to not hit my eyes.
I stopped for a while, looking at it before finally moving on and wished for rain silently, but I knew that won't be happening. The weather forecaster had said last night it would be sunny until the afternoon, but I hoped he was wrong, just like how he was when he said it would only drizzle.
Once I reached the top, my legs felt tired and I was catching my breath a little, climbing stairs was never a liking of mine. Too much energy to waste and too many steps to take.
But even though my legs were quite exhausted from the climbing, I pushed them to move towards my classroom and it suddenly felt a little numb, making me scared I would collapse, and what scared me more was that, the reason would've been my legs weakened. And though there were not much students outside, I still felt quite anxious.
I continued walking, looking at the classrooms before mine to see if there were any students, and surely, there were. But when my eyes met with another, I looked down, quite embarrassed.
Once reaching my classroom, I saw that Na Ari was already there, sitting casually while reading a novel that looked interesting.
Like I had stated, I liked reading. Whenever I read a book, I connected myself to it and thought I was the main character. Thinking I was the main character was both good and quite bad, to me.
It was good, simply because you could understand the story more and would know what the character made was like. It was bad, a little, because you'd feel for the character, and that was both good and bad as well, when the book states the character you had connected with I happy, you'd be happy, but when he or she is sad, you'd feel sad as well. And I didn't want that feeling.
Jennie was also there, and surprisingly, she wasn't on her notebook, instead, she looked at me and smiled widely.
Jennie's aura was quite fierce and looked like she was tough and it's as if her sharp stares and glares would cut you, but when she breaks into a smile, it was all different.
