"What the hell do you mean you're a vampire!" I was surprised yet all the pieces were coming together. The leaving at exactly six o'clock every other day. The eye color changes, yet I felt safe with him.

"I mean what I said. I'm a vampire. How simpler can I get?"

"Do you kill people?" I was afraid of asking because I didn't want to hear the answer.

"I've killed innocent humans before, but ever since I met you, I hunt animals. You've changed me, Taylor, for the better." I smiled at the thought, but it didn't drift my mind off the elephant in the room.

"B-but your skin! It's not pale!" I hope it wasn't a stereotype and he would get offended and try to kill me.

"It's because I'm a Pureblood. I was born so I still have blood in me so I can tan. But my heart stopped when I turned 21." He's staring at me as if he's waiting for me to ask something.

"And how.. long ago was that? When you turned 21."

"About 300 years ago. I lost count of the years." That triggered my panic mode.

"Wait hold up! I'm married to an artifact?!" I stood up too fast and got dizzy so I sat back down.

"You had sex with the artifact. Besides, I don't even look like one. I don't have any gray hair I swear. You seem to be taking this better than how I thought you would."

"Well when I was a teenager I always read supernatural books so I kind of got fascinated with it. How did you want me to react?"

"I thought you would want to leave me because you would think I would try to kill you or something." He wasn't looking at me. He was in a vulnerable state which gave the chance to be able to run away and never look back. I shrugged that good idea away.

"Please if you wanted to kill me you would've done it when I accidentally hit your car three years ago," he smiled at that thought but still wasn't looking at me. "I'm mad that you didn't tell me before we got married though. You didn't let me have a decision if I wanted this or not."

That's when he stared at my eyes pleading with me. "So if I told you before you would've left?"

"I didn't say that but now I don't have a choice whether I want to or not. I fell in love with you. Sure you being a vampire is a surprise but I'm not dead so it's all good. I'm lucky my mom isn't here though. She would tell me 'I told you so.'"

"She thinks I'm a vampire?" He looked shocked.

"Oh no, she always thought there was something off about you or you were hiding something. I guess this was it."I looked at the time. "Well I have 3 hours until I have to go to a luncheon. What do you want to do until then green eyes?" I gave him a mischievous look. He knew what I wanted.

"How many times have we made love in here?" He asked.

"Not enough." I say as I lean him back on the couch and give him the time of his life.
