"I don't believe you." I didn't want to believe him. I didn't want him to be my father because I was told to despise my father. I don't hate Nikolai and I don't want to.

"I am. It's all in the book. These are enchanted books. Anything that I do goes into the book. I'm so sorry that I left. I had to. I found my mate. I loved your mother, but no love could hold a candle to the love you have to a mate. I made sure I left a surplus amount of money to you and your mother's name so you wouldn't suffer. I watched over you for all your life. You just didn't know."

I had his eyes. Deep blue. Our hair color was the same. My mom's hair is black. "When did you leave." He looked away.

"I left when you were three. When you were five I asked your mother if I could share custody with you. She said she didn't want me in her or your life anymore. Us wolves are very possessive of our mates and kin. I couldn't stay out of your life. Even if I wanted to, my wolf wouldn't be happy."

I had to sit down. This was a lot to handle. "My whole life is a lie. Wait you're a werewolf.. so what am I?"

"You're part werewolf, if you haven't phased now you probably won't ever. But there's something else in you that I can't quite catch. It's not human though."

"I'm not human?! What the hell am I?!"

I don't know how I didn't faint. It would be a good idea to escape everything.

"A hybrid. Werewolf and something else. I just don't know. I can find out if you'd like."

"I don't even know if I want to. Yesterday I find out my husband is a vampire. A vampire prince for God's sake. And now I find out my long lost father is a werewolf and I'm not even human!" I was out of breath at the end of my rant. Nikolai stared at me for a few seconds until he finally wrapped me in his arms. I welcomed the embrace. I started crying.

Something about the hug of a father, a dad who you've just found has been with you for years.

"How do you find out what I am?" I finally sobered up.

"I need a couple blood samples. Then I test them under a microscope. It'll be quick."

"I'll do it." Will I? Is this me talking? He pulled me out of the hug. I didn't want him to.

"Are you sure? You don't have to right now." Well now I'm confused. Does he want me to want to find out what I am or not?

"I'm not sure, but don't ask me again or else I'll change my mind." Half of me was scared of what I was, but the other half was curious.

He reached in his pocket and pulled out a card and got a pen from the table. He scribbled something down on the back of it then gave me the card. "This is where I live. Go here this weekend and I can get the blood samples."

I nodded my head. He was about to say something but my phone started ringing. I reached in my purse and pulled my phone out. Xavier. I put the phone back in the purse. I wasn't ready to talk to him.

"I think you should've answered that." Nikolai suggested.

"He'll be fine. And I really don't feel like talking to him." I shook my head. "So, do you.. want to talk to my mom? Because if I do I'll probably say some things that I don't want to say in front of her."

"If you want me to, I'll talk to her." I smiled. "What kind of things would you have said to her?" He asked. That she's a lying bitch.

"Oh um, just not some nice things."

My phone started ringing again. I checked it and saw it was Xavier again!

"I'm sorry I have to answer this. If I don't answer now he won't stop calling." He nodded his head and walked to a different part of the library.
