When I woke up I heard noises on the other side of the door. I quietly got out of bed and put my ear to the door.

"Yea she's here Xavier. She's sleeping." There was a pause "You're crazy man, I'm not going to keep her on house arrest. I'll keep her safe don't worry." Another pause. I tried to lean on the door some more but the door wasn't fully closed so I accidentally slammed it shut. "Dammit Taylor." I muttered to myself.

"I gotta go. She's awake." With that Jase hung up. I opened the door to see him in a wife beater and some sweats.

"Um, good morning." I walked to the island in the kitchen and sat down. "So what's there to eat?" I was starving.

He walked to the fridge. I saw a lot of raw meat. Nothing else. He went to the cabinets. I saw spider webs. That was sad. He only had raw meat.

"This is embarrassing. How about we go out and get some breakfast?" Jase suggested.

"I thought I wasn't allowed to leave the apartment." I raised my eyebrow.

"I told Xavier that I wasn't going to make you stay here. Besides as long as you're with me, you're safe." He gave me a big grin showing his pearly whites.

"Okay sure. How about Original House of Pancakes?"

"Great I'll go get ready." He was on his way to his room.

"Wait! I have no clothes. Didn't you notice I'm wearing yours?" He gave me a quick up and down.

"I didn't notice. I was too busy looking at your lion's mane." He ruffled my hair. I glared at him. "We'll go back to your place so you can get ready."

"Is it safe to back there?" I was worried.

"It's been a day. They're gone." He went back to his room and got ready.

I grabbed my phone and sent Xavier a quick text.

Tell your mom I said hello

I plopped down on the couch and was about to turn on the tv, but Jase came out. I looked at the clock. It was only two minutes!

"Let's go." He said. I grabbed my stuff and quickly followed out the door.

When we got to his car I did a double take. He had a Lambo!

"What kind of job do you have Jase?!" I was astounded. It was matte black with orange.

"I'm I used to an assassin, but I hung that cape up and I'm now a protector for the royal family." He opened the car door for me waiting for me to get in.

"You were an assassin? How the hell do you expect me to get into a car with an assassin?! What if you kill me?"

"I guess you wouldn't want to know about your husband's past. Just get in the car, please." He sounded a little irritated.

Reluctantly I got into the car. "And for the record," Jase muttered "even if I wanted to kill you, I couldn't because you're royalty. Times two."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well since you married into royalty with Xavier you're a princess in the vampiric world. And you are the offspring of King Jamison so you're a princess in the Canis Lupus world also. See double the royalty."

"More like the double the trouble. I can't be the princess of two species! Two that despise each other that's for sure." I leaned back and closed my eyes. This is way too stressful.

"It's okay squirt. Hopefully the Luna will have a child so you won't have to worry." He ruffled my bed head. I gave him a glare.

When we got to my house. I was confused. It looked like no one was here. Like it's home and it's been safe the whole time.

"Wait till you see the inside." Jase got out of the car. When Jase opened the door it practically fell through the hinges. We walked into the house.

When I walked in I gasped. The chandelier was on the floor and on there were holes in the wall. There were tears threatening to spill. Xavier and I built this house. And to see it torn down broke a part of me. I stepped over the rubble and up the stairs into Xavier's and I's room.

The bed was flipped over the doors to the ensuite were torn down. The wardrobe was on the floor. I tried to ignore the fact that my safe haven is destroyed and walked to the closet and got some clothes. I stripped and took a shower. Half of the water was from the faucet and the other half was probably my tears.

When I got out I put on some clothes fixed my hair and face and went to go find Jase.

It wasn't hard to look for him because he was in the bedroom.

"C'mon let's go and get some breakfast." Jase walked out and I followed closely behind him.

We got into the car Jase was staring at me. I stared at my hands in my lap, emotionless.

"I'm sorry about your home, Taylor." Jase looked at me with worry.

"I don't want to talk about it." I muttered.

He stole one last glance at me then stared at the road.

"Table for two please." The waiter nodded at Jase the led us to a different section of the restaurant.

When I looked at Jase he seemed tense. "What's wrong?" I frowned. He was always usually carefree. I don't know what changed him in a matter of seconds.

"There's a vamp here. I can smell it, but I can't single it out. Too much food in one place." He let out a growl as his eyes locked on a man. He looked very familiar.

"Is he going to hurt me?" He wouldn't kill me in front of all these people right?

"No. He can't, his brother would kill him."

"Who's his brother?" I asked.

Before he could answer the man walked up to our table.

"Do my eyes deceive me or is that my sister-in-law?!"
