Monday –
Dave gave me cash and quite a lot than I expected. I really thought he’d give me fifty or sixty but no, I have two hundred – this is by far the highest amount of money I’ve held. I hope I get good clothes because I’ll rage if they don’t fit right. Right now we were in Forever 21, and I must admit they do have really good clothes and sweaters. I LOVE SWEATERS.
“Kat, does this look good on me?” Melanie comes out the dressing room wearing a pink dress and black pumps.
Ugh ew, what are you wearing. “Okay, dude, take that off. Your hair’s a nice shade of brown so try going with teal and nude gladiators. Oh and wear a brown belt too, maybe those thin kinds so you won’t suffocate so much.”
She looked offended at first, but then she started thinking. “OH MY GOD KAT YOU FREAKING GENIUS!” she shrieked and got the clothes I listed.
“How about me Kat?” Carly asks. Hmm, black hair, brown eyes. This is easy.
“Anything will match you, but in my opinion, you should go for earthy colors you know to bring out the color of your eyes.” I smiled and she nods.
“MY TURN, OH GREAT CLOTHING GURU!” Topanga joked. She’s blonde and green eyes. Hmm this one’s difficult.
“Try going under the colors of white, blue, yellow, and some earthy colors too like brown, maybe light brown, maroon.” I suggest and she smiles.
Moments later they get out and they looked damn amazing, compared to me who was wearing black jeans and Kellin’s washed up, faded sweater. I sighed, and smiled at them while they took pictures. I check my phone and there’s a text from my mom.
“Sweetie, Kellin’s making dinner, hope you survive.”
“Seriously? Jesus Christ, I might die. Where are you heading to though?”
“Dave wanted to go out after my shift so I said yes, might not be home okay?”
“Ooh someone’s gonna get some ;) ;) MWUAHAHAHAHAHAH!”
“Shut up and shop clothes -.-“
I always laughed when my mom typed down emoticons or when I win at conversations. “Hey, I’ll be looking at some stuff here okay?” I get a refrain of “Yes” and “sure” so I just got up and walked around the shop. Ooh dem sweaters! I found six that I really liked, they’re all plain colors, but one – this one’s special it has a wolf print in the front. I love wolves. I smiled and looked around again. I found some more things and got those too.
“Uhm excuse me?” I turn to see the cashier again.
“Yes?”
“I’m Grace by the way, and earlier I overheard you giving advice to your friends over there and I was wondering if you wanted to work here.”
“Woah, what, are you fucking around?!” I cover my mouth, I’m not sure if she’s used to foul language.
“It’s okay I’ve heard worse. But no, I’m not kidding, people with great taste in clothing like you are needed in places like these. You could probably boost up the sales and profits here!”
“Hmm, I don’t know…” WHAT THE FUCK, It’s a job opportunity, don’t turn it down!
“We pay good cash and my boss is really kind. Come on, please!”
“Alright, alright, I’ll work here! Where are the application forms?”
“Here, just give it back maybe by tomorrow, if not Wednesday morning, and then we’ll give you a call!”
